"We really enjoyed our stay with Herve in the Old Forge in Comines. The property has been done up really nicely, full of authentic, quirky details, with the hanging chairs being a real favourite and the hot tub providing a great way to relax at the end of a long day sightseeing. Location wise Comines is a great base for exploring the surrounding areas and even the beach is easy to get to within an hour. We also couldn't have asked for a better host in Herve, who made us feel welcome even before...

"The Gite was tranquil …. Beautifully decorated, the simplicity of this gave a calm and peaceful stay …. The host Sabine was lovely and was at hand for any issue although I couldn’t imagine any issues arising Would recommend highly 😁"

"Great communication from Julie from the very beginning of the booking process. The house is located on a canal with endless walking and running routes. Great local brasseries for dinner, Louvre Lens is 30 min away. Charlie our dog had an amazing time and is currently fast asleep and shattered. Can definitely recommend if you are looking for a location less than a hour from Calais"
