"Stayed here with my dad and brother for a quick weekend winter getaway and we had a great time! Cabin was clean and comfortable with modern amenities. It’s also located in a quiet area with a great view tucked in beside a river. Nancy was a great host who answered all our questions and provided us with recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Next time we’re in Fairbanks, we know where we’ll want to stay!"

"I cannot begin to grasp how incredible of a stay I had here at Laura’s home. My partner and I had a bucket list dream to see the Northern Lights. We had decided Fairbanks would be a good spot. From booking our stay, Laura provided us with tips and recommendations for anything from restaurants, things to do, etc. All her tips were spot on and excellent. I have stayed in many a VRBO and Laura is the best host I’ve ever had. She offered to pick us up at the airport as needed, ensured our fridge was stocked with a lovely breakfast starter kit, had a valentines gift and flowers waiting for us on the counter, and alerted us (upon request) when the Northern Lights were visible! It is so very clear that Laura is a passionate host and cares deeply about her home and the guests who stay there. The home itself is cozy in all the right ways. Everything I could possibly need was already there. I was cooking and realized I needed butter, she had it there. I caught a cold and needed tissues, she had plenty. We needed sandals to go to the local hot springs. She has several pairs. Worried about dehydration? She’s got a massive jug of water ready to go for you. Wanting to bundle up? There’s a fuzzy blanket waiting for you on the sofa. Everything was wonderful. I arrived in Fairbanks not sure if I’d ever want to come back, and I leave Fairbanks wishing to come back quickly, at the very least to visit Laura and her lovely home. "

"This house is ideally located between Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs. Everything is as it appears in the photos. Clean and comfortable. Wintertime in Alaska is something to experience. Thank you Monique and Russell for the opportunity to enjoy it once again. "

"Very sweet cabin perfect for a couple or small family. Felt very clean and that’s a frequent concern of mine with any vacation rental. A lot of towels and extra blankets and pillows. Sauna was an amazing bonus (put in right before we arrived). Host is incredibly fast to respond and provided suggestions for activities which was nice. Stocked well in the kitchen with dishes, spices, coffee, etc. I would suggest checking it out before any food shopping. Great location. Remote but easy drive to activities, downtown North Pole, and airport. We saw moose tracks in the front yard one morning so keep an eye out! So cool! No dishwasher (wasn’t much of an issue for two) and laundry was noted as private use only. May need to dig out/find fire pit in the snow but that’s just part of being in Alaska. Anything more than one bag of garbage has to be taken to the dump. We had a car so not a huge deal. Again, part of being in a small remote location which we loved. Would recommend renting a car if you’re ok driving in snow. Driveway was plowed. Really loved this cabin. Would 100% recommend and go back. "

"Place was exactly as described. Hot tub was great. One thing to note- the stove in the pictures was not a wood burning stove, its run on oil (was looking forward to burning wood). It kept the place nice and toasty though.Communication was also great- we had an issue with the wifi and that was fixed quickly."
