"I would definitely come back to this location. The house is perfect! Just the right size for our party. Pool was nice and sheltered from the constant ocean breeze. Morning coffee or afternoon cocktail on the patio was a treat. Some day's the biggest question was "beach or pool". Great beachcombing on "our" beach if not truly suitable for swimming. " Culebra is a once in a lifetime experience and this property served our needs well for the week we spent there. Our Villa shared a deck with another unit which came as a surprise to us. Hot water not hot but in fairness this is very common throughout our travels in the Caribbean. "

"We really enjoyed our stay in Vieques. The house was exactly as advertised. The kitchen had some basic spices oils and such that were very helpful . The view from the roof of the ocean was very nice. We loved sitting on the patio playing cards. It was a quick walk to town (a bit hilly) but no complaints at all. It was nice not to have to find parking when we went down for dinner. The communication with Simone was excellent. She always responded immediately. Five stars!!!"

"Me and my family stayed two nights at Amarilla Casita. We had no issues, the conditions were basic, bathroom was clean, there was plenty of room to sleep. Love the island ! We had wonderful meals at El Norte restaurant. "

"We stayed four nights at Casa Sara and had an amazing time. Wilma was very responsive and the check in process was super easy. Plenty of room for our family of four. Saved some money being able to cook about half of our meals there at the house. A short walk to the Malecón, Coconut Beach, and Black Sand Beach. We rented a small SUV and the gated parking spot was tight, but worked great. Overall, I would certainly recommend this rental for your stay in Vieques!"

"This is a perfect house for two couples. We loved being within walking distance of the beach and restaurants in Esperanza - it’s a great location for exploring the island. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and we loved sitting out on the porch. We had a great stay. "

"This property was recommended to me by my brother who stayed a few years ago. We had a wonderful time! The house was very comfortable and clean. There is AC but we never had a need for it. There are tons of windows and cool breezes. The house is nicely decorated, easy to come and go on our day trips, and has a beautiful porch to spend our evenings on. There is a couple of nice bakeries and a market within walking distance. I honestly cannot recommnd the house enough. I would love to go back!"

"The property was clean and looks just like the pictures. Easy to walk to Seaglass Beach and restaurants in Isabel II. Air conditioning was nice and cold. Washer and dryer were convenient. "We booked with Eddy and his wife and they have a beautiful property. It has a local feel with outdoor hammocks, seating, papaya trees, horses, and a gorgeous rooftop that can see Culebra. The host was even more welcoming and is a local Viequenese. All the rental cars and golf cars on the island were booked out and Eddy was gracious enough to drive us around. He recommended all of the cool spots.Would not recommend walking from his place or use golf carts. There's a couple stray dogs along the...

"We stayed here for 3 nights over New Years Day. The location in town worked out well for us, being able to walk to the ferry early in the AM after our golf cart rental was over the day before. We also walked in town several times to restaurants and to the square for the big New Years Eve bash! The unit was clean and adequate living space. The negatives were that it is in an area that is a bit run down - although we felt safe. Lots of chickens around with roosters going at it from time to...

"We loved Hix Island House!! It was quiet, except for nature sounds, and peaceful. Our unit had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t, a comfortable bed with mosquito netting, (I never saw a mosquito or a fly), fridge, 2 burner stove, basic kitchen supplies, plenty of thick towels, ceiling fan, (no air conditioning but it wasn’t needed) and an outside shower. The breakfast supplies were much appreciated and were restocked every other day. We enjoyed the refreshing swimming pool and the spacious grounds. We also appreciated the free use of beach towels, chairs, umbrella and a bag cooler. And we enjoyed learning the fascinating history of Hix. If we return to Vieques, we will stay there again. "
