"Terrible experience. We rented 2 rooms, 1 facing the volcano, 1 facing the forest (201&101) Both rooms smell bad and we though it as bug spray due to the large amount of bugs found on the one facing the volcano. Apparently, the smell was coming from all the bathroom drains. It appears the staff plugged the drain to avoid the smell, we didn’t know this until after we took a shower and noticed the whole bathroom and part of the bedroom has flooded. This happened after 9 pm when the hotel closes so no help until the next day. We had to clean it the best we could that night. The staff didn’t acknowledged the inconvenience and said the smell was sulfur from the volcano. They didn’t offer to reimburse or discount our stay although we didn’t have hot water, they said the wind knocked power to their water heater generator. "

"This is the second time I have been there. This time I took 8 others with me and they all enjoyed it. Rooms are nice, the gathering area is special, very accommodating staff."
