Our couch had a pull out bed and it was moldy and there were vape pens in it. The air conditioning could not reach a cold temperature so all our clothes were damp feeling. The food was at best a rating of 2. Breakfast was decent, however the evening meals were awful. Pork was a main dish for a lot of them so we had to request to leave it off. The shuttle to hotel was awful and took over 2 hours to get to. We didn't get it coming back to airport as the attendant wasn't there for 2 days and we lost out on the day of travel because they said we should have called. And, traveling into Play del Carmen, we took a taxi which was $71 and never told us the bus ran for $5.00.

The staff at the resort were very friendly (really made the effort to learn your name and remembers you), professional and hosted great activities such as guacamole class, riffle shooting, tshirt painting, pool volleyball, dancing performances, etc. Was also able to visit the other two Princess resorts (Grand Rivera Princess and Sunset Princess) and have drinks and meals there too. Great optionality to stay at one resort but Cleaning could be improved.

This is not 4 star hotel as advertised. This property is very outdated. Beds and futons were broken. Also, the shower was leaking. Maintenance came, wiped the water and said everything is fine now lol smh. Weird stains on the walls. Forget about getting a beach towel. You have to contact front desk and wait forever. Never got one. Only 3 restaurants had good food. Drinks were made with bottom shelf liquor and artificial dyes, which was absolutely atrocious. There were flies around the food at the buffet restaurant. First time I’ve encountered such a thing. Most of the staff’s were rude and showed lack of concern or interest in what we were bringing to their attention. Overall, this was a terrible 5 nights experience and the worse vacation I’ve ever been on.

Our second visit in 7 months, it definitely went downhill. AC was broken for hours. Was lied to several times about "testing" from the concierge, wait staff service was great as usual but the conditions of the resort have deteriorated badly. We loved our first trip. Did not enjoy this recent one

This property needs to be redone. The bedroom furniture was outdated. Several pieces were broken and torn. The rug in our room was repulsive. Getting a beach towel was close to impossible. The restaurants were not open when they were suppose to be. The staff had no answers or solutions.

This was my third experience staying at a Princess Resort. While we have access to both the Sunset and Rivera side, the Yucatan was our preferred side as it was less crowded. Additionally, you don't need reservations for the a la carte restaurants.

All staff were very friendly and accommodating. We went in December so it was quiet and no crowds, which was wonderful. And it was all adults only, so there was no kids running around, which is a plus!
