Oh, where to start. Pictures did not match room at all and if that were the only issue this review might have a minutely positive tone. The location said .6 miles from center of city. Not the case. We walked almost three miles to find this heap in a terrible location. Now onto the room, woohoo!
The rooms have no doors. They have sliding glass doors with easily pickable locks, rather unsettling was that we found the desk attendant had entered our room upon leaving after settling in--although it appeared this was to unplug the tv and cable box we had plugged in upon arrival...creepy. Oh and the curtain leaves a gap so anyone can see inside the room right where you'd leave the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it was a portal for half the Yucatan's collective mosquito population due to a quite obvious and should have been fixed already--missing window pane! What joy! We spent hours killing mosquitos, spiders (on shower curtain), centipedes(on shower floor)!! Oh, toilet barely flushes, sink has no pressure, shower only has one heat setting: Antarctica...unless, and I quote from the desk attendant: leaving the water on for 5min (10 for me) for the water heater to wake up and work as it should. If you haven't clicked the back button yet, I'm hoping it isn't because you want to maintain some semblance of a budget: hotel takes cash up front, no cancel policy. We left after the first day and happily found a new hotel. PS a/c control broken. Curtains moldy.
