Good location and price hotel
Stayed Tuesday through Saturday in the Suite 11 which has a jacuzzi on the terrace. On the 1st night my girlfriend and I enjoyed the jacuzzi and left an iPhone plugged outside. Well the next morning it was gone, removed from the charging plug and to make things even weirder, the main door to the suite was locked. FYI if you get suite 11, it has a shared or connecting door with room 10. Well on first day I told the front desk that the door wasn't locked, in other words the other guest could just open the door and walk in with ease or visa versa. The door was finally locked on the 3rd day. Also, the cameras don't work, found this out when I asked about the video of the suite 11 entrance after the cell phone disappeared. Now don't get me wrong the hotel is in a good location and price is great. It provides all the basic amenities. In suite 11 there's 3 beds but only 1 is soft and comfortable. FYI if you move the middle bed towards the TV then you'll feel the AC breeze hit you and stay cool at night. Beware there's parking around the corner at a 200 pesos per day charge. Breakfast at the downstairs restaurant is awesome. Or you can go to La Tortuga down the street. Fyi bring toiletries. Shopping and 5th Avenue is super close. Hope y'all give this place a try.

I booked a room for 7 , 3 adults and 4 kids, and when I got there they show me a very nice apt with a kitchen two bathrooms and 3 rooms , outside swimming pool, Very nice, the day of checking in we arrived early they told me that the room was not ready, it was fine , I ask if we was getting the apt that they had show me they said yes , At the time of checking in everything change , someone made a mistake and we paid for it, no kitchen only one bathroom and only one room, they did try to help for their mistake by giving us two free breakfast, bot it wasn't enough, if they wanted more money for what they had promised they should have ask , I had no choice but to stay I had 4 kids and a lots of bags, 7 people, what was I supposed to do , walk around playa del Carmen and look for something else . Very disappointed

Dirty Hotel Smells Bad Very bad Experience
This is not a family hotel, is not clean, smells so bad and is in very bad condition. The reality is so different from the pictures that they show. At the moment we saw the room we try to cancel the reservation but the manager told to us that was no possible. We just couldn’t stay there with our little kids, and we move to other hotel, but the Hotel Adventure Experience charge to us anyway and they charge us more than the price that was on the reservation. We had very bad experience. !

Great experience! Pros: - Amazing front desk staff - super friendly and helpful! - Perfect location! One block off of Fifth Ave (right near the middle!), and three blocks from the beach. We could stop by repeatedly throughout the day to cool off, drop things off, take a rest etc. -Quiet hotel! Despite how close it is to busy areas, it's very quiet. -AC and ceiling fan -TV -Good cleaning staff -Fridge (that locks - it was our safe while using the room...) - Little table/chairs and common area balcony outside the room. -Great price! Cons - Rooms are a little run down, but nothing too bad. A bit like a glorified hostel. - Sometimes there is a sewer smell that comes from the shower drain. -No free breakfast (we had some confusion with this, but I think it depends where you book it through). Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a basic, comfortable room from which they can explore Playa Del Carmen! We ended up loving the hotel!

Great budget hotel but some renovations are needed
This is a budget hotel in need of renovations. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to be near the 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen. I stayed in room 11 which is aparently the suite. I had my own patio, jacuzzi, and was on the top floor.

Noisy! No Privacy! Unsafe!
Very bad experience! Noisy! No Privacy! Unsafe! The 1st night I stayed was so noisy. Only a very thin door which you can hear everything through and see around the frame into the other room. My neighbors were up all night listening to music, singing, banging stuff and having S#X. You could hear everything, even the guy farting in the bathroom which was right next to the door you shared with the other room.I tried putting towels on the floor to block the noise and light from under the door. I understand they were just having fun so I went to the desk and asked for another room. The owner said they didn't have any available but could put me in another the next night. He also said those rooms also share a door and could be just as noisy. Why don't they tell you this about the rooms online ? He said he could say something but I initially said no cause its just kids having fun. But the noise only got worse and he ended up saying something but it only made things worse. so I just asked for my 2nd nights stay to be refunded so I stay someplace else. At first he said no but after pressing he said yes and he will do it in the morning. I waited till 11 the next morning for the owner but he never showed so I had to eat the 50.They will try to deny it or blame it on something else or say it was me, but If there's any question in your mind about my review, call them and ask about the door, look at the online pictures, and save your money. Hotel One around the corner is much better.

Great hotel!
This is a great budget hotel. Location, location, location! Restaurants, bars, clubs, shopping, mini mart, 5th ave. and the beach is all right there. It is also a very safe tourist area. The hotel staff and owners were very friendly. The complimentary breakfast at the cafe was delicious. The decor of the hotel is very fun. It is an older hotel and could use some updating but for the price it was safe, clean, comfy, and friendly! I wanted to stay their for my entire 11 day trip but they were booked. I ended up staying an extra day and will by back for the last 5 days of my trip. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good budget hotel located next to the heart of Playa!

Decent budget hotel
Not at all bad for the money charged. Friends staff, great location. Surprisingly quiet for the area. Shower head was broken, sink leaked, but the room was very clean. Beds need to be replaced, as well as lumpy pillows. Because we weren't expecting too much considering the price, we were okay with a one night stay but would not want to stay longer.

Not bad. Just a couple problems.
1) Our room door was left unlocked by staff. Right after we checked in, we went out. From the nearby street we watched two men (owners or staff) enter the room for a few minutes. I assume they were checking on something, or working on something in the room. (They left empty-handed.) When we returned to the room later, the door was unlocked. 2) Breakfast is included. If you were not aware, because you did not notice it on your reservation, like me, make sure to ask about it. The front desk never mentioned it until we were checking out, after 5 nights. Also, the nearby buildings rooftop air conditioner units are LOUD.

Great location, but...
We really wanted to like this hotel, with it's fun art work painted on the room walls, the pleasant open air landings at each floor that were furnished with tables and chairs for socializing with other guests, and the great location in the heart of Playa del Carmen. The rooms were large, the staff did their best to be accommodating, the floors, beds and bathroom was kept clean and orderly by the staff and the AC worked fine. However, the room had many problems, most significantly of which was the plumbing, in that the sink drain and the shower drain both lacked P-Traps, resulting in a heavy accumulation of foul smelling sewer gas in the rooms once the windows were closed and the AC turned on. The toilet fill valve would also stick shut, so the tank would not automatically refill, and the valve inside the tank had to be jiggled after each flush so that it would refill. Electrical problems included the electrical outlet by the sink in the bathroom which was not anchored in it's junction box, but was left dangling, exposed wires and all, inches from the sink. In addition, the hotel ran out of bath towels on the second day, leaving us to use hand towels to dry off from our showers. On check-out, I was unable to print our airplane boarding passes due to a connection problem their printer had with the hotels network. This is a hostel that is striving to become a hotel. I hope it finds success in this endeavor through better management and attention to detail.

Perfect budget hotel in Playa
This hotel was great for the price. The room was spacious and clean; although the beds were a little hard. Because of unexpected travel delays needed to stay in the room longer then my scheduled checkout time. management was overly accommodating and allowed us to stay several extra hours.

Was okay for a inexpensive place to stay.
Not horrible for a budget location but not great either. The good: Location was great, a short walk to just about everywhere we wanted to be in Playa del Carmen, the room had AC, a fridge, a nice balcony area and they made our beds and gave us fresh towels every day. The Bad: We didn't have any issues but it didn't feel really secure either, no dead bolt or chain lock on the door. There was no goose neck on the bathroom sink plumbing to create an air lock so our bathroom constantly smelled like sewage. Wasn't too awful as long as we kept the window open.
