"Beware. We booked a “deluxe double room”. Our room was dirty, tiny (zero room to open luggage), and had an extremely steep ladder to the sleeping loft. None of these are shown in website pics. The mosquito net has large holes and doesn’t even fit over the mattress. We left to a clean and spacious room in another hotel for *less money*. Kent reimbursed us only half. I think he fully expects people to leave these “deluxe doubles” and then rebooks the rooms, bringing in extra income this way. ...

"We loved our room next to the pool. The property is well maintained and really connects to the heritage experience. Nice lap pool which we used to cool off several times. Staff are extremely pleasant and provided everything we needed. Walkable to some sights and easy pick up by Grab when we needed it. Spoke to a member of staff about breakfast and they said they hoped to bring back this option in the future. A very relaxed stay and would definitely recommend Jawi Peranakan Mansion. "
