"Very well appointed hotel. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at the valley and listening to the cow bells! Village is small and worth a walk around to see the fascinating old buildings. Adjacent co-op also handy! Being able to park right outside for no extra charge was a treat and the included breakfast had a wide selection and was very good quality."

"The staff was very accommodating. The 136 year old hotel was magnificent. I believe it is the Swiss tradition to make you happy! If you are wanting to vacation in this area I would recommend staying here!"

"Great hotel only 3-4 mins walk from the train station and 3-4 mins from the town centre. It is well maintained and spotlessly clean throughout. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My only minor issue is that the room was very warm, even with the heating off and window open all night. Great for winter, not so good for summer. But I would still happily stay here again. "

"Lovely, modern hotel up a hill above Brig. It's nothing fancy (it's owned by the Catholic Church and also serves as home for several nuns), but very comfortable. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was straightforward with muesli and eggs with cheeses and some meats."

"Lovely boutique room, so close to the centre of the old town, and easy walk from the station (10 minutes and this with luggage on wheels). Breakfast 8-10, well presented, nice breakfast in charming room. Our host, Anna, was terrific- easy check in, had already advised on best way for us to get from Domodossola to Milan/Malpensa airport when departing so we had out bus tickets booked and so easy transfer to the airport (bus from station, direct), and she provided all assistance requested. As we needed to leave early, she provided early breakfast, and then offered to drive us to the station- we didn’t need this but lovely offer. Domodossola a remarkable little town, Saturday markets take over the town, and bars, restaurants buzzing. We had great meals and wines, and the stay at NicoMat made it all so accessible with great host. And the train from Locarno to Domodossola a must!"

"Beautiful, well-maintained, lovely, charming, quaint hotel! The breakfast area was so lovely (breakfast was delicious and plentiful and included), every little detail perfect. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Great location - center of town. For our budget it was a little expensive - but well worth the price!! I would definitey stay there again. "
