"This was one of our favourite locations in our 2 week trip (had 10 other nights of accommodation along Camino del Norte). We loved everything in this location: the serene area, the renovations, the food, the wine, the cheese, the overall atmosphere. We truly want to mention Segnora Pillar - she was at the Reception the day when we checked in and checked out - who went above and beyond to make our stay a perfect one. She understood and helped us change the room, cared for our comfort, advised on our trip, and gifted us a “Parador passport” for future usage! The most important advice was to go see Ribadesella Caves and Museum, and that truly made our day, as Alta Mira Caves and Museum were booked months in advance! Gracias, thank you for everything, we’ll surely come back to these place! The walk in the little village was amazing as well! "

"We had a fantastic three night stay despite the bad weather. The service, food and ambience all scored 10/10. Carmen who provided concierge services made reservations for us ahead of our stay. Stand out location, smart decor, and when the sun came out on our last day we realised the restaurant Tella had a sea view which was previously hidden by cloud. Wonderful!"

"Stopped for two nights with my husband on a motorbike trip to the Picos. We loved staying here. We had a beautiful balcony view looking out on to farm land and mountains and could hear the birds singing. So tranquil. Loved all the geranium window boxes. So pretty. Staff were very friendly and we got by with speaking English and a little Spanish! The accommodation was very clean and the beds very comfortable. We could have parked the bike in the garage as pre arranged but felt it was safe to leave the bike at the front of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, not a cooked breakfast , apart from fried eggs and pancakes on one day but plenty of choice and delicious. The restaurant for an evening meal was in a separate building up a hill on the other side of the road. It was only open 1 of the two nights we were there but the quality of the food was excellent and generous portions. The hotel was a perfect position for exploring the Picos and we preferred the more tranquil spot rather than stopping in Potes. Found it a bit tricky to find the entrance to the hotel at first. Think cars had to park on roadside but we could park the bikes in front of the property which was excellent. Wish we'd booked another night. Would I stay again...Yes, definitely. Sad to leave ."

"What a phenomenal location! Beautiful hotel at the foot of the Picos de Europa, steps from the cable cars! Clean, quiet, charming, family friendly. Worth the drive to get here, next time we will stay longer! "

"This out of the way Parador is perfect if you want a quiet stay with stunning views. It's an older property and some of the fixtures/fittings in the bathroom are tired but on the plus side - shower pressure was good and everything was very clean and we had a great nights sleep. The resturant served tasty local food - very nicely prepared and presented. The staff were attentive and friendly - we would visit again if in the area."

"Beautiful setting in a limestone gorge with a river flowing through it. Better than a white noise machine! There are hiking and mountaineering trails in the immediate vicinity. As a vegan, I appreciated that they included both a vegan and vegetarian option on the dinner menu. The thermal pools and the baths (balneario) were lovely. Don’t forget your bathing cap! "
