We booked a 3 bedroom apartment at BayCliff and was terribly disappointed with the condition of the building and apartment. We had a 1 year old baby with us. Had to walk up and down ramps and stairs with our luggage and change 2 elevators to get to the apartment. We were shocked to see that our apartment was right next to a slump where squatters were residing. This made us feel unsafe. Building had a musky smell and the pool had dead insects. Air con in rooms were noisy and the living room sofa was torn. Furniture looked old and toilets were not clean. Floor was sticky. Next morning, there was no water supply at all. We could not get ready to go out and wasted the morning trying to get this sorted out. We were told that they were buying the water and not sure what time it would reinstate. Then the cleaner came to "clean" the room. She went into the bedrooms to remove the bedsheet, simply turn it the other way wrong and used the other side. This was the last straw and we confronted the frontdesk to get them to change our room. They then moved us to another apartment in the next building which looked much newer and cleaner. Thankfully, the new apartment was great and we enjoyed ourselves. This saved our entire holiday. Otherwise, our holiday would have been ruined. I will not recommend BayCliff residence. If I had known that it differed so much from the pictures, I would have booked The Privilege (buillding next door belonging to same company) instead.
