This resort is on the cusp of being great but for the nightly charge is extremely expensive for what they are now. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are excellent and staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, willing and very capable but they are missing the necessary management to make this worthy of the significant price tag. I never saw a GM. I didn’t have the chance to use the spa, but the room was spacious and comfortable. The rain showers and giant tubs are a bonus! The pool is picturesque and overlooks a spectacular view. The breakfast is tasty and plentiful but in general the F&B needs an expert to guide them. A GM to upskill and add the finishing touches would bring them to the next level. The cocktails are excellent and refined, but at a recent evening special event the food which was cooked to order was cold and the accompanying buffet could have benefited from some additional minor presentation improvements. One very basic point is the size of the plates. They are enormous and there aren’t smaller options. It’s difficult to present a meal well when the plate is overly large. It also leads to a lot of food waste at buffets. This resort is an enjoyable, comfortable stay and has a lot of potential to grow and be amazing. In the future I’m sure they will warrant the price they change per night.
