"The cottage is very nice. It is on two levels, the kitchen/dining is down quite a steep staircase that I found difficult to negotiate. I'm nearly 70 and my daughter fast approaching 50, so not spring chickens! If you want to use the sofa as a bed there is a 35 pound charge for linen that isn't made clear when booking. We both slept in the one bed which was fine. Extra charges should be mAde clear on booking and the fact it only has one bedroom was disappointing. Otherwise nice place if somewhat...

"Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. "

"We had a fabulous family stay over Christmas and New Year. Plenty of space to spread out for the whole family. Comfortable beds, clean and warm house with everything you need in a beautiful setting. Lots of wildlife in the grounds. Easy access to Edinburgh and the surrounding area. We’d happily return!"

"When we arrived the check in process was very easy. The cottage itself was very clean and warm. Bed was comfortable and two bathrooms which is great of you stay with a whole family. If you want to use the hot tub make sure to tell the owners immediately once you book. I told them a week before arriving and had had to ask twice to be able to use it. We could see in the guest book other people had been greeted with welcome basket. We didn’t. Would also been great if there were a welcome letter...

"I stayed in this cottage for 11 nights with my dog, my Mum came to visit for the weekend too. Kate and Cameron we're very welcoming, and went to extra lengths to make my stay enjoyable. A lovely touch was the welcome tray with tea, coffee and delicious shortbread! Not to mention a nice bottle of prosecco. "LOVED IT! We loved everything about our stay at 1 Bellevue Terrace. The location is great, quiet and residential, yet just a ten minute walk to the Royal Mile. The apartment is beautiful, just like a place that a character from a Hallmark movie would live in! And a Christmas tree! What a nice touch! The owners were 100% responsive, before, during, and after our stay. Stay here, you will love it as much as we did!"
