"Heerlijk verblijf. Heerlijke tuin met zwembad. 25 min lopen van restaurantjes. Enige minpunt: Er hangt 1 airco op overloop voor het hele huis, dat werkt dus niet op de kamers. In zomer warm. Je kunt wel ramen tegen elkaar open zetten maar blijft tot half de nacht heel warm in huis. "

"Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Die Mutter des Vermieters wohnt unten und ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist ziemlich zentral so dass wir Ausflüge zu den Orten im Norden an den Flüssen Minho und Lima, zur nahen Küste, nach Braga, Guimaraes und Porto unternehmen konnten. Barcelos sollte man unbedingt am Donnerstag besuchen, wenn dort Markt ist."

Outside kitchen, pool, scenery and games room fabulous. Property typical of the area so very dark inside but when weather is great there is hardly any need to be inside - we cooked outside for all our meals including breakfast. Position is a bit out of the way for some of the north Portugal towns we like to visit so needed the car and...

"Alquilamos la casa entre varias parejas con niños y la experiencia fue espectacular. Los adultos disfrutaron tanto como los niños de la piscina, la mesa de ping pong y los juegos de mesa. La casa está muy bien equipada. El comedor está en un porche en un edificio aparte perfecto para no hacer ruido a las habitaciones."

"Quinta Trás o Rio is a large house, set in the hills outside the coastal town of Viia Praia de Âncora. It has six bedrooms, a swimming pool, large garden and ample parking. Its location in the hills ensures cooling breezes for a comfortable temperature in Summer. Porto airport is 50 minutes away. The house itself is stone built and rather rambling once inside. There are numerous stairs both inside and out. My ten year old grandson christened it : The House of Stairs. Families with toddlers...

"Northern Portugal is amazing, with history around every corner. And Ponte de Lima is close to all the early battles with Spain and the coast from which the explorers set out. We found castle after castle and saw ancient grape vines being harvested. Madelena and Luis showed us their beautiful estate that is, in a way, preserving the historic beauty of the Vinho Verde region."

"We had the most amazing time, the property is stunning and the views are magnificent. The owners are super friendly and always available for information on the area and to provide their own wine and produce which is superb, nothing was to much trouble.We all enjoyed the pool especially our children that were in it from the moment they got up until bed. This place is highly recommended."
