"I recently had the opportunity to stay at Suites of the Gods Cave & Spa in Santorini from February 3 to 5, 2025. While Santorini itself is always a breathtaking destination, my visit was accompanied by an unexpected challenge—ongoing seismic activity. Despite the situation, my experience at the hotel remained memorable, and I’d like to share my honest review. The Hotel & Atmosphere The hotel’s location is stunning, offering panoramic caldera views that are truly unmatched. The architecture blends seamlessly with the island’s natural beauty, and the cave-style suites provide a unique, luxurious feel. However, the earthquakes did add a layer of unease to the experience. The tremors were noticeable, but the hotel’s structure felt solid, which provided some reassurance. Room & Comfort I stayed in a cave-style suite, which was spacious, elegantly decorated, and featured a private terrace overlooking the caldera. The ambiance was relaxing, and the in-room amenities were top-notch. That said, due to the ongoing tremors, some minor disturbances occurred—like occasional vibrations—but nothing alarming enough to force evacuation. Staff & Service The hotel staff was exceptionally professional and accommodating, especially considering the circumstances. They remained calm, reassured guests."

"The villa is perfectly positioned in an amazing location to view the sunsets and the sunrises from the patio chairs without the crowds. Even the views from the windows of the landscape and the sea are breath taking. The “cave” we stayed in was very spacious and well appointed. We relaxed with some Netflix before sleep. Easily accommodates 4 persons but we were 2. A fantastic kitchen with everything needed to cook but we are out at the recommended restaurants which were delicious. The staff were exceptionally helpful. It is best to use their advice, transfers to and from the airport, and their tours for the best pricing and the safest rides. Elvis and Yannis were lifesavers and made our stay enjoyable and memorable. They work very hard and expertly to give you the best experience. "

"Stayed at Ira hotel, located in the Firostefani town, with my wife for 5 nights during our winter stay in Santorini. The hotel is located along the cliff on the caldera and therefore provides the most stunning views possible. Our room was the most exclusive room located at the very bottom of the hotel which granted us total privacy (no neighbors), a large hot tub and the most stunning views imaginable. Our main gripe with the room was that the bathroom (sink and shower) water took forever to get warm and would only get luke warm which was never warm enough to our liking. We also wish the hot tub got warmer but the temperature was not adjustable. Last gripe was that the included breakfast was just ok. That said, the service was superb. We only really interacted with 2 people during our entire stay. The young man who carried out luggage and served us breakfast was very quiet and polite. Christine, the hotel manager in the reception office, was very kind and super helpful. She gave us her Whatsapp #, recommended restaurants, helped us book a rental car and even gave us a ride down the road to a restaurant on our first night which was cold and wet. The hotel is located right along the popular hiking trail which was very convenient. Be mindful that there are lots of steps and stairs in this hotel in order to get around. Overall, we loved our stay here and don't know how we're ever going to top or even match the views we got here. Highly recommended!"
