"If you are after a "posh" hotel. This isn't it. What it is is a hotel with great staff, adequate room facilities that are spacious & clean and (above all) really good value. The friendliness of the staff seemed to generate a relaxed and friendly response in the visitors too. Each morning at breakfast guests would greet each other and talk about their days. Only a short (10-15 mins) walk from the bus and railway stations, this feels like a family run hotel. Despite being in the "off season" it was warm (in both senses of the word) and welcoming. I mustn't forget mentioning the breakfast (included in the cost of the room) that was a treat each morning. The Sunday carvery was also great, with the widest variety of different vegetables I have seen for quite a while. Thank you for pleasurable stay."

"One night stay, late arrival early checkout. Great place, nice cozy pub downstairs - had tagliatelle which was good. Room comfy, warm, great, lovely bed. Nice toiletries, amenities. Left too early for breakfast but knew it would've been good just from the feel of the place. Decided to check out early doors, visit some places for work then come back at 9am for the breakfast (included). Correct decision, it was amazing. Nothing against the normal run of the mill chain pubs I tend to stay in when on the road so much, but this was refreshing and welcome change. Just a shame I my stay was so short..."

"Walking distances to train and bus station. There is a bit of a walk up stairs with luggage. No elevator. The rooms are named after different places in area. The one downside is the dinning area needed reservations and stop food early. Luggage storage great. Communication prior to visit was amazing. Would stay there again and overall enjoyed visit. "

"Perfectly situated within east walking distance of town centre, sea front and other facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful in lots of different ways, breakfast very good indeed (lots of choice) and rates very reasonable. I booked because Premier Inn full but next time I would have this as first choice."
