"Such an amazing experience at this hotel, not only is the staff incredibly kind and attentive they are also so thoughtful. We stayed for our honeymoon in the pool villa, and on the first night we came in they gave us a call in the morning to see if we’d like to have breakfast even after breakfast hours were over since we hadn’t eaten. "We had a worst experience of staying in this so called villa in Bali. We are lucky that we had planned only one night stay there. It was so smelly, uncleaned,disgusting bathroom and without any privacy and basic facility. We haven't expected much in AUD 40/night but that is even higher rate for this kind of facility.Be careful, Guys!"

"We had an excellent stay at Pondok Sebatu. We stayed with our teenager in the 2 bedroom villa with private pool, which was very affordable in $AU. The location is idyllic if you are looking for a less touristy, more authentic experience of Balinese traditional life. "I have knee problems and had to climb so many steps to get to restaurants. Don’t recommend if you are wheelchair or crutches bound since there’s no lift. Loved the surrounding which was quiet and peaceful walking through the jungle was safe. Best for relaxation and out of busy city life"

"very rustic basic simple hut accommodation, very quiet with the most amazing lake and mountain views. the restaurant is built right out into the lake. the overall place however is run down, the pool isnt clean and there arent many tourist facilities. the manager was annoying, the tv/dvd not working. having said that i enjoyed my stay here but only for a couple of days. i gorta bike taxie ride from across the rd to the hot springs which was about 20 mins away and well worth the visit both days."

"The hotel is set on a hillside overlooking a beautiful valley. Lovely spacious rooms with large beds. The level of maintenance is poor, my room sprang several leaks when it rained and a fresh coat of paint would have made all the difference, some shoddy repair work suggested a low budget which didn't reflect the price levels. "This was booked as a private Villa with its own private pool, however we were disturbed by the owner entering the villa without being invited in which was very unnerving, especially when you open your bedroom curtains to find the owner outside your patio doors looking in. However, this is a fantastic villa and we had a really enjoyable relaxing stay. "
