"I’ll absolutely be back at Mason elephant lodge. It was the kindest service we’ve ever had. The food is amazing, the spa is amazing, and the elephants are so so happy! If you’re worried, google elephant body language. They are reproducing as well, which is a huge sign they are healthy and happy. Their keepers have been with their elephant for decades. It’s an amazing place. I can’t wait to come back. Special shout out to Oka! He is a doll. "

"It was a fantastic experience. We used the Puri Nadi Heated Pool Villa, and the pool in the room was very large and the water quality was good. The breakfast and dinner course tasted great, too. All the staff were kind and the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. If I ever visit Ubud again, I would like to visit there again."

"Such an amazing experience at this hotel, not only is the staff incredibly kind and attentive they are also so thoughtful. We stayed for our honeymoon in the pool villa, and on the first night we came in they gave us a call in the morning to see if we’d like to have breakfast even after breakfast hours were over since we hadn’t eaten. They always asked us about our itinerary to help us decide best places to go or offer us shuttle service or a car. We went on a lovely trip with Joe to the swing...

"We had a worst experience of staying in this so called villa in Bali. We are lucky that we had planned only one night stay there. It was so smelly, uncleaned,disgusting bathroom and without any privacy and basic facility. We haven't expected much in AUD 40/night but that is even higher rate for this kind of facility.Be careful, Guys!"

"We had an excellent stay at Pondok Sebatu. We stayed with our teenager in the 2 bedroom villa with private pool, which was very affordable in $AU. "I have knee problems and had to climb so many steps to get to restaurants. Don’t recommend if you are wheelchair or crutches bound since there’s no lift. Loved the surrounding which was quiet and peaceful walking through the jungle was safe. Best for relaxation and out of busy city life"

"very rustic basic simple hut accommodation, very quiet with the most amazing lake and mountain views. the restaurant is built right out into the lake. the overall place however is run down, the pool isnt clean and there arent many tourist facilities. the manager was annoying, the tv/dvd not working. having said that i enjoyed my stay here but only for a couple of days. i gorta bike taxie ride from across the rd to the hot springs which was about 20 mins away and well worth the visit both days."

"The hotel is set on a hillside overlooking a beautiful valley. Lovely spacious rooms with large beds. The level of maintenance is poor, my room sprang several leaks when it rained and a fresh coat of paint would have made all the difference, some shoddy repair work suggested a low budget which didn't reflect the price levels. "This was booked as a private Villa with its own private pool, however we were disturbed by the owner entering the villa without being invited in which was very unnerving, especially when you open your bedroom curtains to find the owner outside your patio doors looking in. However, this is a fantastic villa and we had a really enjoyable relaxing stay. "

"This is the most amazing hotel I’ve ever been to. With the exception of the pool. They have a great opportunity to redo the pool as an outdoor cliffside pool with amazing views. They missed the boat on that one. But the rest of the property is 10 out of 5 stars. Absolutely beautiful. Caution: for elderly that don’t like stairs. There are lots of stairs."
