We have no regrets and it was absolutely the right choice for us. We made lifelong memories and this was a big part of our Costa Rican experience. The value for what we paid was simply outstanding. We were a family of four — two middle-aged parents and two older adolescents. We are easy, casual, non-fussy travelers. The house was big enough for us to spread out and it had all the basics for us to crash after days of adventuring. If you stay here, you are staying for the great company and the authenticity, but not for the luxury. If you are looking to stay here, you absolutely must include the meals because that is the highlight of the experience. Lidiana and Eddie were the most gracious hosts and prepared delicious typical Costa Rican food for our breakfasts and dinners in their outdoor kitchen next door to the house. We chatted and laughed, and everybody practiced their language skills, both Spanish and English. The family dogs padded around and greeted us, and every day we walked out into the colorful garden to look at Flash the sloth, snoozing in her tree. Eddie took us out in the evening and showed us the frogs and other nighttime critters and it was just fantastic.
