Beautiful property next to the rain forest reserve and cacao river, the house features 4 bedrooms with A/C units each one, 2 full bathrooms with hot water, fully equipped kitchen, Cable TV, WIFI, private swimming pool, gardens, a nice pond where you can see aquatic birds; also you can go around the property to Cacao river sightseeing frogs, birds and other wildlife. The house is located 10 minute drive from downtown La Fortuna (6 km - 4 Miles), excellent location to explore all attractions in Arenal area.
Excellent property to enjoy the rain forest, relax and be a bit away but close enough to explore La Fortuna and Arenal volcano area.

Hi my name is Sergio Brenes I’m a chef with over 15 years of experience. I fell in love with cooking thanks to my grandma. I started Nativo Chef 2 years ago so you can enjoy local quality food from your Airbnb.

Breakfast includes coffee, orange juice and fresh fruit from $35. Lunch and dinner are both 3 courses with a cocktail included from $80. We have kids, veggie and gluten free options.

We also have a bartender service, cocktail classes and cooking classes. We’re happy to work on special menus for you.

We’d love you to experience and enjoy Costa Rican food and it would be a pleasure to serve you.

We have an office in downtown La Fortuna, you can look for us as The House of Tours, where our guests can visit us to provide them with information about the La Fortuna area and the Arenal Volcano, we have excellent options for excursions and activities with very good rates. The office is located by the central park, very central and very good parking. It will be a pleasure to help you :)

Rainforest retreat!
Surreal, driving onto their property was almost like a scene from a movie. The grounds were beautiful and green! Trees were full grown and plentiful.

This property was perfect for our family of 5. The location was about a 10 minute drive from restaurants and shops. We absolutely loved the land the house is on, we saw many birds, colorful butterflies, leafcutter ants and the resident cayman. Our teens enjoyed exoloring the area and the beautiful view of the volcano from the driveway. We spent our evenings relaxing on the wrap around porch listening to the rain. We would definitely spend time here again.

Beautiful surroundings
We loved being able to enjoy the indoor and outdoor amenities of the property. After a long day it was nice to come back to a private pool. We appreciated the explanation of the different types of trees and plants and enjoyed sampling some of the fruits! It was perfect for our family of 6.

The property is great, the pool, the creek, the island, the animals, the hammock. All great. The only draw back is the size of the kitchen, it’s a little small to cook a full meal for 9 people. But you have plenty of restaurants choice in town.

If you want to feel like you’re in the middle of nature, look no further. Plus, it has all the other amenities you could ask for. This property is amazing and I would not hesitate to book this place again.

Right up against nature!
We were amazed at the sounds and sights while staying here! So many birds, monkeys and even an otter came to visit the pond! It was fun playing in the pool and the rain! Not too far from La Fortuna and small convenience shops at the end of the road. The kitchen isn’t really suitable for cooking for a family and isn’t very well equipped so probably best to eat out or make snacks only. The AC worked well and we enjoyed our stay here! Would recommend 😊👍

Awesome place and location just 10 min from main city!
Everything was great starting from check in and check out. Kids and us loved swimming in pool, watching fish in ponds, and hanging in hammocks. Beautiful and quite place far from neighbors. We had 2 families with 8 people total and really enjoyed our 4 days stay. Rates for additional activities ( Baldi hot springs, tubing) through the agency were great as well and they accommodated us well in last minute! Communication was very fast and pleasant.

For our group of 5 Ceiba Pond was perfect! Howler Monkeys to wake us, Blue Jean Frog and Tiger Herons by back woodland stream, great porch to sit on, enjoy the breezes, and watch the birds, and the house back from the road for quiet and privacy. Enjoyed the pool and all facilities. Nice to have the small tiendas in walking distance, and the frog reserve in the other direction.

Amazing house
Beautiful house! When you go in gate there is a pathway so the house is private surrounded by so much beautiful greenery! The pictures on this listing don’t do justice, you have to rent this house it’s beautiful. We had a group of 7 and we never felt crowded there is plenty of space.

Great private house
Casa cacao is a wonderful House. And the landscaping is amazing. How about 4 miles or so out of town on a little rural road. But it's paved. Very easy to get to and from. Very quiet. Lots of birds we had fun watching the toucans. Also listening to the howler monkeys the only saw them once. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Grounds!
We really enjoyed our stay at Cieba Pond. It was close to everything in La Fortuna, but far enough away to still be private. The house was very nice and quite comfortable. The bathrooms could use some updating and we did not have hot (or even warm) water during our stay. We loved the pool and it was fun exploring the grounds and seeing the fruit trees. There were lots of birds, which was a big plus for us. I would definitely recommend this place, but check to make sure the water gets fixed.
