Tatty, scruffy, cold, unwelcoming and dirty.
"Awful place. One star is too much. More like a doss house. Unopened post piling up at the door. Floors could do with a good clean. Hand written paper signs stuck on the door and walls. "Spotlessly clean lovely bed and bedding. I was quite content to stay in and look out the window. Even the cutlery drawer was spotless which is rare. Would love to return."
