"Great price and a very large room. We had space to park our bikes inside our room if needed. Only drawback was limited office hours and limited parking. Very small parking spaces. The fireplace was a nice addition as we got soaked on our last bike ride and needed to warm up quickly. "

"Tiffany at the front desk made us feel so welcomed. She was a pleasure to meet. The beds are so comfortable and cozy. Also, the bath products are the best! High end toiletries were a plus. The coffee in the room was very delicious. Everything was perfect! We will be back. 😁"

Welcome to the beautiful Carmel Retreat!

"So many pluses to this adorable property. The location, for one, is perfect. Literally a 3 minute drive to downtown Carmel, and the17 mile drive (Pebble Beach). Pacific Grove and Monterey...20 minute drive. The place itself was clean, and comfortable. Beautiful views from scenic windows, and all the amenities you need, but the best part was being dog friendly. Communication between ourselves and the property owner were superb. On a scale of 1-10 we rate this place a 9.5. Thank you!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this bright, clean, and well-appointed flat. Especially enjoyed the private hot tub and the very comfortable bed - slept great! It was great to be a short drive from downtown Carmel, but far enough away to be quiet and to have parking available always. Time in Big Sur, Point Lobos, beaches were highlights. Great communication and responsiveness by host and property manager. Thanks so much!"

"We liked everything about this classic, updated motel. Service was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. We had a standard, amply-sized room with a fireplace as a bonus, at an affordable rate. Feels like a mid-century California coastal motel, in a row of similar places down the road. It was a little bit of a walk, not terrible, to the downtown and Cannery Row locations. We walked throughout of our 3-day stay without trouble. We'd stay at the Arbor Inn again to visit lovely Monterey."

"This was perfect for what we needed. Clean and well equipped! Loved having the clothing steamer! Highly recommend!"

"Our experience at this hotel was terrible. It was impossible to contact them before arriving. When we did arrive after 6 hours in the car they would let us use a restroom and it would be 3 hours until check in. The woman kept adding a day to my stay. And as I requested a downstairs room for the 5th time she put me upstairs. Another woman working said they need a downstairs room. So finally we did get the downstairs room. "Lovely location, clean accommodations. Easily handled our 9 guests. Only issue was the Pebble Beach gates. I called three times to have our name added to the gate access, but guest services were not able to do so. Gate attendants insisted on charging us to enter and suggested we get reimbursed from the property manager. "
