"We found the cottage to be very comfortable and well equipped. Great walks direct from the front door especially to The Cove for a very enjoyable early dinner. We all agreed it is one of the nicest places we have stayed in. We would love to return in the summer to really explore the area and see the views on sunny days."

Clean, bright, equipped with everything you could need, very secure, we have a dog, a beautiful vase of fresh flowers from their garden and a very nice welcome pack, especially the decadent chocolate cake! Across the road was an ideal open space to walk Fraser and all the nearby towns easy to get to, ie Rye, Hastings and Battle to name a few. It’s a lovely area to explore and the cottage a wonderful find, thank you"

"We stayed here for a weekend, to attend a wedding nearby - two adults and two children (aged 5 & 9). The configuration of the apartment was perfect: there are two double beds on the top floor, all kind of in the same room but separated by a wall (it makes sense once you see it), which was perfect for us. "Carol was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome upon arrival. We got to pat one of her adorable dogs and see cute sheep out the window every day. Lovely place to stay if you like quiet and a rural location! Some of the roads close to the cottage are one way just to bare in mind and we had deer crossing where the woods are one night (which we were very excited to see!), so please drive carefully. Cottage was nicely decorated and comfortable, and with a smart TV which was an added bonus!...

"We stayed for four nights in June and were delighted with the facilities provided. One king size bedroom, one double bedroom and a small room suitable for a child (we brought our own crib for the baby). Small details like the stair gate and a few toys helped too. The patio furniture was well used as we had glorious weather. Staplecross is well placed for exploring Rye. Hastings, local vineyards and National Trust properties. We would like to return next year!"

"Lovely stay at the stables. They have been converted to a high standard and were very comfortable for our family with two small children. It was great that there was a stair gate in the top bedroom as there isn’t a door. Had a nice meal at the local pub and in easy reach by car of local visiting sites. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and let us wander around their lovely garden. Would recommend. "

"very close to the beach, just over the road, its better less stony if you walk about 10 mins to the right, about 5 min walk to reception, lodge is located in a quiet park of the park, I always take a tv as my son is socially anxious, and didnt leave the lodge at all, until we left, I felt it would of been useful to have a tv in the double room, as my son took over the only tv, with his xbox, and i got sent to my room, to watch tv, it was nice having the decking outside, could do with outdoor...

"Huge living area, high ceilings. Quiet area of site. Very happy there other than the description of - everything you need to whip up meals or enjoy a cup of coffee. We took ground coffee expecting a cafetière, at least! There was one tiny sharp knife. Nothing to cut a loaf of bread. "
