Overall, its a good and really cool place to book a vacation home. The staff were great, although contracted out by the owner of the property as well as their maintenance staff (to upkeep the pool).
The pros:
- There are a nice selection of stores, bars and other misc. services/shops in walking distance. There is a 7-11 right around the corner and another one down the hill. You can also walk to big buddha mountain as well.
- It is entirely possible to hang out at the house all day and call it a good day as there are 4 TV's , 1 in each room and 1 in the living room.
- It is quite easy to do your own laundry (there are no machines, but you can hand wash them and air dry it on the provided laundry racks).
The cons:
- It is not within walking distance to walking street or Jomtien, taking a cab (or grab) can be quite costly over time. I spent a lot on grab fares. Getting to a baht bus route was a far walk as well.
- The electricity is quite pricey as well. If you leave the A/C units on quite a bit, the cost will add up. I paid about 3000 THB over the 6 nights I was there.
- There is a beach that is in a borderline walking distance, but it is somewhat off the beaten path where you go down to that hotel down the hill and there are some stairs that lead down to a small secluded beach. But it's there...
