"Quiet, hasi it’s own dock for boats, shuttles pick you up the property as long as you wait for them outside.owner connects you with a tour company that is very reliable . Rooms have hot water an air conditioning which is a blessing when you come back from the outdoor activities. Love the place and donot think there is a nicer place this close to the village."

"What a place to stay. Free boat transfer to and from the little airfield. Really nice food and drinks. Rooms don’t have AC but are wide open and well ventilated. However those are small points compared to the entire area of the hotel and the surroundings. You walk one way to the beach, it’s full of little seating areas, pontoons and places to just enjoy the nature and surroundings. We spent evenings on a pontoon watching the sun set, afternoons in the hammock on the balcony your room has, and the hot days by the pool. Iguanas randomly wander around the place, and visited the pool on our last day. Howler monkeys occasionally swing by, and there are endless birds, one we didn’t notice was 2 meters away from us whilst we were enjoying the pontoon. We went in turtle laying season, and saw a wild turtle laying its eggs. There are boat tours, night hikes, canoe expeditions, hikes and other activities, all with endless wildlife around. Truly a wonderful place and experience. "

"We loved the views , but what we didn't love was the owner trying to make us pay double , when we had already paid through Hotels.com , I was not impressed , then they tried to make us pay for breakfast which was complimentary . facilities barely any . Lovely view ."

"Tortuguero is such a cute town! We weren’t sure we wanted to make the drive but we loved it. The boat ride from La Pavona is beautiful and the town is great for walking around and shopping. We took a guided night hike and saw a turtle laying eggs on the beach! The staff were very nice and helpful and the air conditioning in the rooms was nice. Only stayed one night but loved it!"

"Staff are very helpful and there's housekeeping every day. I like the idea of having tea and coffee ready at 5:30 before going to an early tour. The convenience of pick-up and drop off at Casa Marbella dining area/ lounge chair for your boat ride back to La Pavona parking lot is a big plus. "

"Lovely little place five minutes walk from the port. Great air con and nice to share the facilities next door with a great little pool and lovely breakfast. All the staff were great. The only improvement I would suggest is a fridge and coffee maker in the room, and we think someone could make some money offering a bag carrying service from the port with a cart! It’s very hot with heavy bags. But overall a lovely stay - thank you! "

"The manager of this hotel Gisselle is absolutely amazing :) she goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need . The staff are all friendly and it’s stunning . Understand you are definitely going into a remote area and don’t expect more and you’ll be amazed at the rich culture and beautiful nature "
