"The property is basic, but well maintained and food is pretty good mostly. Beer available to buy. No wifi - but you can get a poor connection from receptionist's phone acting as hotspot. Friendly atmosphere. 3 days, 2 nights, equals 4 boat journeys, 1 day walk and 2 night walks. "The accommodation and food was nice, we were let down by the tours and communication. The night walk was disappointing as we walked very close to our accommodation, so was not really the jungle walk we were expecting. However the river cruises were good, apart from being let down by our boat breaking down within the first 10 minutes of our tour and being stuck in the water for over 20 minutes. This time was just taken from our tour time therefore we had a shorter river cruise than other groups...

"Much better area of Lahad Datu, compared to town closer to airport. Lots of small shops and a good supermarket below hotel. Area feels relatively safe and we enjoyed the Night Market for dinner (although we were very much a spectacle for locals who are not used to tourists). "Here you get a small cheap room with not much nearby. Couldn’t find a beer at night. The small room was clean and the staff were nice. There’s no lift/elevator so if you’re on the 2nd floor or higher it’s just up and down the stairs. No phone in the room so every time you have a question for the front desk you have to go down the 2 or 3 flights of stairs. I was just there 1 night so it wasn’t much of a problem. Not sure what else is available in Lahad Datu."

"The most amazing stay. The kitchen excelled with all our food allergies and nothing was too much trouble for them. We saw wild Orangutans near the lodge. Only 4 rooms, so quiet and less mosquitoes than those places on the river. I loved my stay and highly recommend to others."

"Fantastic guides. Very knowledgeable and good at spotting wildlife. Aswad (one of the guides) is very personable and helpful. The river cruises were nice, but the jungle trek behind the property weren't as fruitful as I'd hoped. Food was good and never lacking for portion size. "

"We stayed at the B&B for 2 nights. The stuff was great, they even woke up at 5:3am to prepare our breakfast (normally it was from 8am) as we had to leave early. Rooms and bathroom were also good, just the humidity was a bit troubling but that is to be expected in the region. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there."

"I just stayed for a week conducting research and had a great stay. The owner, Ben, and staff are wonderful people and I consider them friends now. The room & bed was clean and comfortable and solid WiFI was available at the eating area (helpful for those working). The in-room AC unit helps A LOT in the humid climate.
