"Difficult to find, as only the name of the adjacent hotel, San Ruffino Resort, appears on the sign at the shared driveway. Room decor is in serious need of an upgrade (weird 70’s vibe and a lot of dangling wires) and the kitchenette and bathroom are rudimentary. Landscaping is dreary. Breakfast was basic and seemed like most items came from a supermarket. Helpful and friendly staff and the San Ruffino rResort pool (which Il Poggia guests can use) was pleasant, as were the grounds of the Resort."

"An absolutely beautiful hotel and room. Only negative - there was no need to be encouraged to buy breakfast vouchers for a local restaurant. We bought too many and it would be better if they just advertised as breakfast not included. Or if they said the vouchers were to be used off site. I was under the impression that they were for use at the hotel and wasn't really given guidance on how many to buy. Otherwise this was our favourite hotel of the four we have stayed in on our tour of Italy."

"We had an amazing stay at Massimo's Tuscan Villa. We were close to the walled city of Luca, and it was a great place to stage your Tuscan vacation. The villa itself was well appointed and everything was high quality. The amazing views, and the Tuscan hillside made each morning very special. Massimo is a great host.
