"Property is located on the high ground with great views. Property is in good condition. Staff is awesome. Walkways within hotel are very steep and crooked, so, if you have to walk to your room within property, it's difficult. The staff can give you ride in golf cart (it feels likean amusement park ride ;) )"

"The property has a 60’s ambiance to it, your room key is actually 2 keys on a heavy metal holder. No key card here. There are no restrooms on the property so be prepared to run to your room. The saving grace is the spectacular beach, clear blue water, no drops or ridges you are on level sand getting in and out. 3 nearby restaurants at adjacent properties give a choice of dining. All in all great place to have a quiet beach holiday, between 8 and 11 you have your own private beach."

"The Verandah is a beautiful resort! I should mention that it is very hilly so it has golf cart porters who can pick you up & drop you wherever you like on the resort but be prepared to wait. We visited during off season so the resort was not super busy & there were several occasions in which we waited over 39 mins & had to call for the porter several times. Food was good but know that for any of the restaurants other than the buffet, you need to make dinner reservations. The Lovers Beach & pools are beautiful, Rasta beach has a great bar/grill but there was a lot of seaweed at that spot. We loved that you could reserve a day pass to the sister resort Pineapple Beach Club. Love the beach over there as it is not tucked in a cove, however, the beach over at Pineapple is public whereas the beach at The Verandah is private. As far as staff, we found most people to be pleasant & helpful with a few who did not seem to want to be there. The first night that we arrived, our flight was delayed so we arrived late to find the a/c unit was not working. We called the front desk & they disappeared Euclid, one of the maintenance people. He was amazing & made sure the a/c unit got fixed. We had no more issues after the fix. had a great time on this beautiful resort! Rooms are updated & property grounds are beautiful. Far from town so taxi to excursions & town gets pricey, but we were here to relax so it was fine. If you want to do excursions, I would rent a car or stay on west "

"Great hotel with friendly staff. Our ocean-view rooms were amazing. We loved the hotel's beach; it provided the best beach experience. Beach activities were available and convenient, making our stay enjoyable. Housekeeping was excellent; they tidied up our rooms promptly and provided all necessary toiletries. The fine dining experience with an ocean view was fantastic. Highly recommended!"

"The access to the beach and pool. The staff was wonderful!! it was quiet and very clean in the rooms. I highly recommend this resort! Jean Marie was amazing! Tango and Sean were amazing! very friendly and helpful! above all they were very very very loving and understanding of my 2 year old. "
