"The pool was closed and has been for some time as they are rebuilding it. This was not advertised when booking nor was it communicated to us afterwards. Bike hire and meals also need to be arranged the day before , again this wasn't communicated to us when booking or when speaking to the reception on the phone prior to arriving. It's a lovely village but I think it's not ok to advertise facilities that aren't available as this was a big reason why we chose it. I would definitely go again though...

"The location and view from patio are amazing, but the apartment could use some love : chipped ceramic tile repaired with scotch tape, one bedside light only, bed up against a wall, and the kitchen sink leaked, causing water to pool on floor when washing up. "

"The hot tub which we were looking forward to using, was indoors in the bathroom and when we arrived we were told that it wasn't working. A big disappointment which spoilt the holiday. When we saw the advert there was a TV but actually there wasn't one there (also disappointing) and we think it has now been removed from the description. The parking space is unlit so in the dark we had to leave the car headlights on to see where we were going until we could put the house lights on. The steps up...

"We have stayed several times in Lagos but this was the perfect place for us. The property is just outside Lagos but beaches town and supermarkets are all about aten minute drive away. The setting is very peaceful and quiet so ideal for relaxing outside and looking out at the wonderful views. If you are feeling active you can quickly access the coastal path and walk to the beach. Simon and Ana Maria are wonderful hosts and ensure you have all you need. We look forward to our next stay there...

"If you want a relaxing holiday In a rural setting but not too far inland that you can’t enjoy a visit to the beach, water parks and coastal restaurants - this is the place for you. Accommodation has everything you need and is cleaned to a high standard. You have the use of 2 pools on site, a BBQ area and outside eating area within a lovely orange and lime Grove. "This cabin is super cute and located in the slow village. The antique furnishings were beautiful. We were able to walk to the restaurant and pizza place, and our kids walked down the street to see the chickens many times. The restaurant was really yummy (chocolate mousse with salt) and the pizza place was just average and only took euros. The only thing I would wish for is a fan. It got warm upstairs at night, and we could not leave the windows open because mosquitoes would get in. The bbq area...

"Extremely impressed with our host and the property. Spotlessly clean, well laid out and fully equipped. The apartment is short walk the restaurant and shopping area but is really quiet, unlike many areas around the beach. Our host was very friendly and helpful and immediately responsive for any questions or if we needed a hand. All in all an excellent stay!"

"I stayed here for a month working remotely. The property was nicely located on a peaceful road only a 5 minute drive from Silves, with all the amenities including restaurants and supermarkets. The house is spacious, with three bedrooms. The house came with all the cooking and cleaning equipment you would need. Patricia, the host, was very communicative and helpful for any questions I had. The outside space is perfect for having a morning coffee in the sun and had a BBQ too. I would recommend...

"Our host Karolina was very pleasant and friendly. The cottage was adorable. The location was between towns, Burgaus and Luz. We easily walked to one and could have taken a longer walk to the other. Beaches nearby were lovely and the cliffs spectacular."

"Cleanliness, efficient breakfast service, excellent food, friendly staff all round, location to beach and two other fantastic restaurants. Ease of having a spa and gym when the weather was t great (April)."

"Only 5-star reviews of this property; the check- in was fine and quick, although it was off-site (just nav/map it). The building next door is vacant and sketchy but it is not - the area is being redeveloped. Dining options are somewhat scant under a 10- 15 minute walk, but there are many just beyond that. Parking is free in front of the building and available when we were there, but not sure if there are spaces in the summer, as there is a beach access and club there. "

Boavista Golf & Spa - Bela Colina Holidays

"Very nicely presented, spacious, clean and looked freshly painted. The Spa facilities were fantastic and staff were very helpful when we did not have caps to go in the pool. Only request would be to let clients know when there are classes so that we can plan ahead when to visit the Spa. The golf course looked in good condition although we did not play. The golf short game area has excellent green area to work on your short game however the putting green was not in 5* condition. Overall a very good place. If you have a car wiich I would highly recommend, all big supermarkets are about 10-15 mins away. Nice beaches and restaurants in Praia Da Luz about 10 mins drive. "

What a view!!!!

"We booked a comfort double sea view room and were ever glad we did! What a view. The room was renovated and looked beautiful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom did not get renovated and was dated. It really didn’t go with the room but the view solved any doubts we had. The breakfast was excellent. Location was phenomenal and did I mention the view? We used Bolt to get to around in addition to walking You definitely stay here again. "
