"This property was built exactly as the pictures show. You can hear the ocean waves with the doors and windows closed. There is an A/C wall unit in each room and not in the open living space. "After a long day of travel my friends and I were very excited to arrive at the treetop house. The property is absolutely beautiful and while it was late when we arrived, we were all blown away by the house itself. Upon closer inspection the house had noticeably been neglected. Spiders and dead bugs were abundant in the beds at the lowest level, while spider webs were visible on the ceilings in every room. "We loved our stay in this cozy cabin. The location was stunning although I would not recommend for someone with mobility issues as the walk up/down is steep but there are stairs. The place is rustic and there were some bugs, after all it is literally in the jungle. I thought it was charming. It is the rainy season so the trees grow quickly and thus the view was obstructed. The property manager was very attentive and answered all of our questions. Would stay here again, no doubt."

Ivan and Grace are really great and were helpful with great feedback and recommendations about San Mateo. They have 5 dogs that are very well behaved and friendly, but are also well trained to stay off the terrace of the casita. We had a wonderful time and plan to stay there again."

"This land was so beautifully designed and maintained. We were looking for a spot off the beaten tourist hub where we could find quiet, reflection and be in deeper intimacy with the aninate world. It took a bit of effort to locate but we arrived just at sunset. Completely in awe with the bird life that visited (even the outspoken morning rooster :). And the visit to the river was welcomed. "BUYER BEWARE No hot water and beach is dirty. I contacted Vacasa before confirming reservation to verify had hot water due to previous review. I was told I would have hot water but never did. The pool water was warmer than the shower. The company was notified as soon as we knew there was no hot water. Beach is very dirty due to ships waiting to get into port and dumping garbage while waiting. We did see monkeys and birds which were beautiful. Sorry for the bad review I tried to work with you."

"The house was beautiful, it definitely exceeded our expectations. The pool, the yard (which is HUGE) all of it was great. Being able to just walk out of the yard and be on the beach was a huge bonus, especially with kids in tow."
