The only thing is the noise levels are quite high due to it being a Muslim area and people going to prayer early morning but for one night it’s ideal for Pakbara pier which is 5mins walk away but the hotel has a shuttle service to the pier. "When I take the night train to Trang I always stay at Thumrin because it is big enough to always have a room available for early check-in. Decor and furnishings a little long in the tooth but who cares at this price. Corner rooms have nice view but all the windows can challenge the air-con."

"We had a good stay at Pan Nam Resort. Staff were wonderful and worked hard on the English. (I had to use a translator app). We had no hand towels nor hand soap in the bathroom. The bath fixtures are very dated and in need of repair. The shower dripped day and night so we had to keep the door closed so we could sleep. The only other thing is there were no clothing hangers for our clothing. Some I like to hang to let the wrinkles out and I like to handwash some clothing but nothing to...
