"IS superb enough of a description? Warm welcome, huge rooms with a view of the pool and lake with also a huge bathroom. An internet that really works and superfriendly service. The buffet for breakfast has an almost infinite selection and so has the dinner bufet. In adition, they have a chinese restaurant. "

"Property is not found at 53 Riverside Road, Matale. Given phone is switched off but he answered on the previous day and asked us to come. According to him weather was ok but weather was terreble and came back home because no place to stay at the night. I had to block my card as well. The worst experience I have ever had. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Very nice room and overall hotel was extremely clean. Friendly staff and great level of service. My only negative (from a foreigner) would be the food - it was very average/below average, but affordable. They did upgrade our room free of charge when our hot water didn’t work and they were very kind and accommodating when I asked for late check out (we left very late and they didn’t charge any extra for it) they also helped arrange taxi rides at the front desk. Overall, very good stay 👍"

"Got the wrong room and only noticed it a couple of hours after we arrived. We paid for the elephant bath view and we were literally on the opposite side. We went to tell the receptionist after dinner and they didn't do anything. We had to go back at the reception the following morning and had to argue with the restaurant manager (it seems) because the actual manager was nowhere to be found. "It's the grounds that made me fall in love with this place. Intimate & beautiful but big enough that you can stretch out your legs by strolling through well cared for gardens. Lots of flowers. A small bubbling river wraps around the property & there is this perfect spot along the river where you can sit on a bench and take in the sounds of the forest and the view of mountains in the distance. Pure bliss! The hotel itself is close to the main highway, but tucked just far enough back from the road...
