Experience the vintage charm of Pacific Grove while enjoying all the comfort and conveniences of the 21st century in this beautiful two-story, Victorian-style home.
Relax on the deck off the master bedroom, or outside on one of two front porches: you can spread out in this comfortable home with hardwood floors, a fireplace, and a unique "sun tower" at the top of the stairs. This den/office area, with a wet bar and under-counter refrigerator, is everyone's favorite place to read, chat, or just enjoy the view overlooking this charming neighborhood.
Cherry wood cabinets and a lovely tin ceiling add warmth and charm to the well-equipped kitchen, and the open floor plan can be "zoned" by doors separating the kitchen from the dining area and the living room from the entry way. An instant gas log fireplace in the living room adds ambiance while you enjoy a good book or a movie on cable TV/DVD (available in both the downstairs living room and the upstairs bedrooms).
All three bedrooms are carpeted and located on the second floor. The master bedroom, decorated in soft tones of rose and green, has a queen-size bed and a private bath with a stall shower. A second guestroom has a queen-size bed; the third has two twins. The guest bath features a tub/shower, and there's another half bath downstairs.
The location makes this Victorian-style home one of our most popular accommodations in Pacific Grove. Upon arrival, you may want to park your car in the spacious two-car garage and forget about it! Just a block from downtown, you are within easy walking distance of Pacific Grove’s quaint shops, restaurants, the Farmer's Market, and the scenic coastline recreation trail.
If you feel energetic, walk along the coastal trail to the world renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium, exactly one mile from the front door. Along the way, observe marine life - sea lions, seals, otters, and shorebirds. Also within easy walking distance: a grocery store, bakeries, library, post office, ice cream parlor, coffee shops, visitor's center, museum, movie theater, bookstore, parks, playground, and boutiques. (If you prefer, there is bus service just a block away that will take you to the Aquarium and Cannery Row, downtown Monterey and Asilomar Beach.)
If you are a golf enthusiast, bring your clubs! The Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course is just a half mile away, and a short drive will take you to the world-famous links at Pebble Beach. Don’t miss the boutiques and galleries of Carmel, and on a sunny day, take Highway 1 down the coast to Big Sur. (Mmmm, lunch at Nepenthe... an Ambrosia Burger and a basket of their famous fries!).
