"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the beauty scenic property. Mary has created such a wonderful surrounding, full of calm and peacefully set against a picturesque backdrop. We were surrounded by nature, wildlife, and so many things to see and explore each day. Mary, herself, is amazing. We really enjoyed our time with her, visiting and learning about the community she's built and her fascinating life. And, she has the sweetest dog. We're so happy to have connected with her and glad to have made such a wonderful friend :) Our daughter loved the stay so much she didn't want to leave. We've moved around during our stay here on the Big Island staying at 3 different places, and she still says Mary's cottage stay is by far the best! If you visit Big Island, we'd highly recommend staying at Mary's beautiful retreat – It's a definitely must! "

"My wife and I stayed at Royal Palms from November 8 to November 11 and had a wonderful time! Check in was very easy. A warm welcome note with a scrumptious fruit basket set a welcoming ohana feeling that was just right. The grounds and landscaping provided a lovely, tropical, and peaceful setting with relaxing nature sounds at night. The cottage decorum is elegantly casual with an awesome dry sauna and well appointed lanai. The Royal Palms cottage is definitely on our favorites list for big Island accommodations. Hosts Lauren and Kalani love this place and it shows! Aloha and mahalo nui! "

"My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was perfect. The views from the lanai are EVEN BETTER than the pictures. Seriously, you can’t find views like that anywhere else on the Big Island. The VRBO was excellent, cozy with everything you could possibly need. Especially appreciated the little touches such as a fully stocked kitchen to cook to your heart’s content, a cooler we could use while exploring the island, coffee and tea, and fresh baked goods upon arrival. The VRBO is in an excellent location for exploring the Hilo side of the Big Island, and was the perfect place to come back to after a day of adventuring and relax out on the lanai. Walking around the farm grounds is a real treat in itself. Can’t recommend enough! "

"This is a very nice spot, with a serene view to the ocean over a herd of grazing cattle. The cottage is also unique with most everything you need to make meals and relax. The bath is nice as well with a large shower. The day bed (single) is a firm foam mattress and quite comfortable.. Alas, the double bed is worn and most uncomfortable. I'm sure that the owners have scheduled a replacement of the bed and upgrading it to a queen. We would very definitely stay here again."

"We were delighted at this property’s cleanliness, as well as both its remoteness and close proximity to Hilo town. It was a perfect place to reconnect with and enjoy our college-aged sons. The home was clean, breezy and its kitchen supplied everything we needed for multiple meals together at home. Walks along Beach Road and the shore access (a short walk) were powerfully impactful. The pool was a cool respite on warm afternoons. Thank you, Suzy!"
