"Good Holiday,nice and relaxed"

"We have been to the Big Island many times and staying Waipio Gardens was one of the best trips we've ever had there. It is a beautiful property that provided serenity, great hiking and amazing beach time. "Rachel’s quaint on-site guest house is a peaceful retreat on the Hamakua Coast, magnificent lanai and ocean view. The vintage house has had some updates and is fairly comfortable and reasonably stocked, wry clean. Rachel was a delight to meet, and very quietly respectful of our property. "My three adult children, spouses, and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at this house. It was exactly as described: isolated, welcoming, relaxing. The large lanai was ideal for sipping morning coffee while watching the ocean. We enjoyed meals and playing cards at the large dining table. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was spacious, and everything was very clean. Bring earplugs as the roosters and cows are noisy before 5 AM. There is no ceiling fan in Bedroom #4. "

"Lovely & quiet"

"We did enjoy our stay with some minor improvements needed. Number one impressive kitchen from photos but oven and cooktop were difficult to operate. We never did get either ovens to work. Poorly out fitted no vegetable peeler or box grater. Blender was broken and three chipped wine glasses only. This was rectified within 24 hours. No plastic ware for outdoor pool area. BBQ only had one propane tank with no spare to be found. Given the distance back to Hilo and the fact that ovens didn’t work...

"Our stay at this incredible Hawaiian VRBO was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with breathtaking ocean views and a welcoming ambiance. The home was clean and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation.The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials (and then some), making it easy to prepare meals while enjoying the stunning scenery. "Waimea is my favorite Big Island location. This house was actually bigger than I thought. It has two bed rooms and a loft that also has a bed. Everything worked and it was very comfortable and quiet. Only thing that would have made a 5 would be new mattresses."
