"The property itself was super spacious. The best part was using the whole building to our own. We didn’t get bothered from anyone, nor did we bother someone else. The Onsen was also very enjoyable. I would definitely come back here with my family again."

"Lovely accommodation. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and the half board food was mostly fantastic. We opted for a private room so we had our own onsen. This was our first and only onsen experience so I can't really make any comparisons but it was seriously fantastic. Nice and hot, very private and clean. Loved it. Location was a bit of a trek from the train station but worth it - the walk is enjoyable and you can easily cut through along the river once you're checked in to reach the main strip of the town a bit quicker which is also a great walk."

"Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"This place was so cute and so much fun! It was a very relaxing weekend thanks to the staff and the cats. The establishment is cash only and you pay ¥1,000 yen per day for cat cafe access. Each morning your cat treats are restocked and you are left with a little snack as well to enjoy while playing with the cats. I will admit, the road to the hotel is a little rough, but that is bo flaw to the establishment. The staff are very kind, attentive, and accomodating. The room was also spacious and beautiful. I hope one day I may go back."

"Quiet location just a short walk from the train station. Superb ryokan experience with modern amenities throughout. If you’re fortunate enough to get a room with a private onsen, you can enjoy all manner of luxury beyond the available public onsen facilities. A great option to spoil yourself, if even for a night or two. "

"There are many different choices of onsens in the ryokan. The staff are excellent as well, their english proficiency is one of the best I’ve seen as well. Although there were some incidents at the start when we check in, the staffs are very efficient at dealing with it. Overall I’ll recommend anyone who visits Kurokawa onsen to give this ryokan a try"
