Booked this property for a fishing trip in the area. The rental was very clean and close various amenities. There were two of us and there was more than enough room. The host was responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend booking this property for anyone staying in the area as it was much nicer than the local hotels.
We came in for a wedding and wanted a bit more than the hotel block could offer. The house was in a perfect central location and it was so nice to wake up and make your own coffee and breakfast that we enjoyed on the back porch as the weather was perfect! Great communication from start to finish and would certainly stay there again on our next trip to Oswego.
It was a nice, quaint location. Close to the local cafes and restaurants with a Stewart’s conveniently nearby. Quiet neighborhood and close to the Oswego campus, where we visited my daughter, and see a few historic sights in town. Very clean and host was very communicative and made sure all of our needs were met. Perfect for our family weekend visit!
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and well appointed. Having a washing machine and dryer was a welcomed plus. You can see the lake from the back deck and a few of the windows inside. From the deck you can watch beautiful sunsets. The location was quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend it and I'll be back for sure.
Just book it. You will love this house!! We traveled for a fishing trip and stayed here. Best decision ever! This cute comfortable house is adorable! Just the right size for us. Close to everything you want to do! It was nice to cook dinner, watch tv and just have space for everyone to relax. Great and fast communication! Thank you!!
Margaret's house in downtown Oswego was the perfect location for my husband and I to visit Fort Ontario (superb historic site) and to eat downtown at The Red Sun for dinner (amazing meal) and the Oswego Tea Company for breakfast. The house was clean, comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. Check in was super easy due to the great communication with Margaret. If we are ever in Oswego again, we will definitely stay here.
The cozy cottage in the city was perfect! The home was well supplied and very clean. The layout of the home was cozy and very comfortable. We loved the back deck in the morning with a cup of coffee. Walks to West First street, The Fort, and parks were easy.
We will be back! We hope to make yearly to visit family.
Family gathering for a memorial service and camaraderie
We were fortunate to stay at this 'Wee Cottage in the City' a year ago AND to have it available for us a year later. My sister and I traveled from Vermont, our brother came in from Montana. The fully equipped kitchen provided a huge Keurig and a few coffees to get us started! We had ample fridge space (we needed only on shelf) and a good TV area for the US Open! The location was perfect. We were steps from our family's home for the gatherings and fabulous food and visiting. Easy access and easy egress! The hosts made themselves available via text or phone. Eagerly assign 5 stars!! And Thank you.
Gorgeous reno on a historic property. Nicely done bedrooms upstairs - both with full/queen beds, so this was very nice for multiple adults to stay in. The stairs have a gradual rise and run so they are not steep. All the important parts are updated - except the darn hair dryer! That model is from 1976 (yes I looked it up) and only works on low, so my hair didn't dry well. The shower has a very high fixture but it is hand-held, so that was workable if not ideal. The little sitting area outside of the bedroom is the perfect spot to spend a few hours reading or on the laptop The kitchen is large and comfortable, and the all-important Keurig is there with a few pods to get us started - loved the apple cider! The entire block is in a nice part of town & we took a walk just to see all of the late 1800s and early 1900s architecture - overall, a very pleasant stay.
Margaret is a wonderful host. The property is fabulous. Beautiful, comfortable and charming in every way.
I look forward to staying again when in the area!
Can’t say enough great things about this property. It was very nicely appointed, had an incredibly well stocked kitchen for cooking, wonderfully comfortable bedrooms and a relaxing living room. The host was great at communication and making sure we everything was ready for our arrival. Very much looking forward to staying again next year when we’re in the area!!
This is an absolutely amazing home. Quiet neighborhood, clean and well stocked home. The property manager communicated very well with us. We will be back.
