We particularly enjoyed the location - close to the main square/beach/restaurants etc, but also it felt very 'Italian', it is a very pretty and historic part of town. The apartment itself is fine (it had not been cleaned when we got there, but perhaps we had got our timing confused). There were a few minor wear and tear issues (torn shower curtain etc), but overall it is a very functional and well equipped place - we were particularly grateful for the beach...

"The house is as lovely as it looks in the photos. It has everything you need and was spotlessly clean. The views were spectacular overlooking the sea and mountains. The hosts are available and friendly and even though it is attached to another vacation house they have made it easy for all with separate parking and entrances so you feel like you are in a private place. You definitely need a car in this area. The roads are winding and drop offs steep as one would expect in the mountains. Two towns...

"This was a gem of a property in a town off of the main foreign tourist circuit, Cavi di Lavagna, but conveniently positioned for trips car or train (+ ferry) to other nearby sites, such as the Cinque Terre, Genova and Portofino. You could also easily transfer to other major centres, such as Florence or Milan, by train from the main station at the next stop over, Sestri Levante.
