We booked a family room for 4 people and it was very small. We needed to pack up 2 beds to walk in the room during the day. This would have been ok if the price reflected this size, however it was very expensive for the facilities. However the staff were nice and accommodating, so no complaints there.

Our stay at Osaka View Hotel Honmachi was okay. We booked the Moderate Modern Japanese Room and for 4 people plus our luggage the room was quite small. It had 2 twin beds and 2 additional futon mattresses. The room was quite dated with a simple cable TV (no Youtube or Netflix). The bathroom was decent but again it was quite small and the bath tub/shower wall showed some signs of stains most probably from use over the years. Amenities were good - you need to pick them up at the lobby of the hotel. The lounge serves free juices/coffee/tea from 15:00 to 21:00 which was refreshing after walking all day. The location was great - just a short walk to Exit 5 of Hommachi Station on the Midosuji Line and 2 stops away from Dotonburi.

Close to metro and some dining and cafe options nearby. Laundry facilities were convenient but clothes came out smelling fousty. Standard plastic bathroom which had a nasty smell from drains. Construction happening in the building opposite which was disruptive in mornings, some noise from drag racers on the nearby main road also.

The beds and pillows are the worst we have had in all of Japan. They also don’t provide coffee in the morning unless you pay for breakfast. There’s also no water bottles given and the water machine is only available for a few hours a day

Dirt under beds. Very small rooms.
There was a lot of dust and dirt on the sides of the beds. It looks like they had not been cleaned in years. Please move the beds and sweep the floors. This causes a lot of ants to be walking around the floor. We were worried that the beds are also not clean due to bed bugs as the floors were so unclean. You gave us another room. However that was only a little better.
