"Spotless and extremely well equipped this is a lovely self contained house at the bottom of Linda’s garden. Definitely 5* Linda’s has thought of everything. Quiet and perfectly positioned to explore the Bay of Islands area. Linda was very attentive to our needs but not in the slightest intrusive. Highly recommended with lovely walks into town and around the area in the bush and by the river."

"Very well set up place for a relaxing stay - just prepare yourself to be continually distracted by the amazing views over the harbour. Choose this one if you enjoy the quiet life. "

"Lovely house, well situated, beautiful views. Comfy beds, great showers. Provided everything we needed. However, lower bedroom still has damp musty smell and we had no wifi and no Netflix as modem had failed and needed replacing. Property manager responded immediately to internet problem and replacement arranged. Read comments about noise from ferry wharf but we did not find this intrusive."

"We had a lovely stay at Marilyn’s well-equipped and cosy cottage. The location in a small community of baches on the edge of Paihia was convenient and wonderfully quiet (note we were there in the off-season) - though a car is recommended if you’re not big walkers and want to get to the main town. Marilyn was quick to respond to and solve minor queries. We loved our stay in Paihia and our breakfasts on your sunny deck. Thank you!"

"We parked right next to our accommodation and then walked everywhere we needed to go. Super easy! The stand alone cabin had everything we needed and we enjoyed the patio for morning coffee, too. Definitely recommend."

"This was perfect for our short stay. Well located, had everything we needed. Was abit dated but we didn't mind that. Great place for dog friendly accomdation. "

"We had a fantastic time at the Matauri Bay Shearers Cottage. The property was nice, private and quaint and just as advertised. A short walk to the pub and diary and a short drive to the beach. The hosts (both the two legged and four legged kind) were very welcoming. Would definitely love to come again. Thanks!!"
