"We spent Thanksgiving here and it was the perfect fit for a quick getaway from the hustle of Northern Virginia. The listing is as described. The kitchen was outfitted for all of our cooking needs, including sharp knives! The place was completely renovated so everything was clean and felt very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed some local hiking. The owner was great at communicating, answering any questions, and informing of us local restaurants and things to do. Would for sure...

"Had a great stay over Thanksgiving at this cozy hilltop cabin in the woods. The cabin came with a full kitchen setup for meal prep, and a nice woodstove for the cool nights. We saw wild turkey, deer, and a blackbear. Great location to check out some of the local State parks for some hiking and the National Forests. My only complaint is the proximity to the freeway, with the traffic, but otherwise great location."

"We had originally booked the studio apt for Jan 9 to visit an elderly parent - a family emergency came up and we had to move our visit to as soon as possible - the owner kindly allowed us to transfer the booking to an earlier date, the 5th (the day after my distressed call) at the cottage instead so other family members could stay as well. Owner is not local, so apparently did not know that the cottage was not quite prepared for guests- it was clean, but not stocked and had some repairs going...

"Buchanan is a small town that is close to everything. Natural Bridge, wineries, breweries, James River, downtown Roanoke Market, beautiful Mountain View’s, Blue Ridge Parkway, ect.The Anchorage B & B was exquisite, historical, well equipped, warm and inviting and the hosts were absolutely amazing! We needed 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, proximity to Roanoke and Daleville. This beautiful house had it all! Thank you for a wonderful setting for our family Christmas!"

"I wanted to go to the Omni bath house. This was a great location to relax with my friend and go for a soak there. On the way we stopped to see the waterfalls. It has 2 nicely appointed master suites on opposite sides of the main living area. I loved being by the river my only complaint was the weather. I would love to visit during warmer days to enjoy the outside "
