"We have been coming to the Mauna Lani for 25 years and it has always been fabulous! We love the remodel, dining options and how friendly everyone is! You can walk or hop on a bike to go to the Mauna Lani market...which is a great market! We also love the Deli/market on the property...it has great options for breakfast, lunch and snacks!"

"We were at the Westin Hapuna Bech for our 50th anniversary. The staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. I had hurt my foot before the trip and they lent us a wheelchair to get to the pool area and restaurant. They also moved us to an ADA room closer to the elevator when one became available the second day. Our seven night stay was fun and we highly recommend this hotel."

"The location of the property is great. Not far from downtown Hilo and within walking distance to a beautiful park. Parking was not an issue. It is a very old hotel. It does need a facelift. For me traveling alone and being out and about it was fine. The rooms do have a refrigerator and microwave. It was great I could save some money on dinning. The pool is not heated and is cold. "Overall I'd give 4.5 stars. Great location if you want to be close to the National Park. I received a free upgrade to the king room on the ground floor, but there was a persistent musty smell, similar to a gym locker. The dehumidifier in the room would not work, despite the instructions to juggle the tank until the light turns off. I suspect this is the cause of the smell. Otherwise the accomodations were fine, bed was not very comfortable but worked after a long day hiking. Check in and check...

"This is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Understated and tasteful elegance. Fantastic rooms with amazing balconies, world class beach, impeccable service, excellent grounds, fine dining at Manta, but also a beachfront casual bar/restaurant, and Copper Bar in between and our favorite. They have an Asian Art Collection worthy of a museum. This was out of our usual price range, a big splurge, and worth every penny. We are already trying to figure out how to swing it to go back next winter. "

"Our room was sold as a full view of the falls from our balcony, but there was a roof line extended from below our balcony that obstructed the full view of the falls. The room space was a little smaller than expected. The grounds were great, the waterfall was beautiful. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. Oceanfront Gated Estate Retreat - Banyan Tree B&B Suite w/ Horses-Beach 10m Walk

"The words "totally awesome" are not even close to adequate to describe this property and the hosts! We were truly honored to be able to stay on this amazing property. Hearing of the vision, planning and hard work that transformed what was a "jungle" at the time of purchase into a place of beauty and peace allows you to appreciate it even more. The hosts were attentive to every need---and I do mean EVERY need. There are many interesting and beautiful places to see within easy driving distance; however, it took a lot of will power to even consider leaving this "little bit of heaven" even if only for a couple of hours. To be able to sit in a lounge chair to search for whales and to swim in the pool and enjoy the dark sky with the twinkling stars cannot be forgotten. We were so blessed to be able to stay in the beautiful Banyan Suite and enjoy delicious breakfasts and beautiful views on the Seahorse Lanai. Many, many thanks to Chad and Jennifer."
