"We didn’t spend too much time in the unit—mostly used it as a home base and place to sleep, but it was excellent for our purpose. Clean and well stocked, and the directions/instructions were clear. Nice area, lots of hiking and things to see nearby (short drives). The beach is harder to get to than a quick glance at the map might indicate, but it’s a nice walk. Check out Mr Ed’s Bakery "

"We enjoyed our time in this well designed lower level apartment. Everything you need is there and handy (cook top only). We loved the view, pool, hot tub, water fall, horses, goats, chickens at the entire environment. IW was relaxing sitting on the porch seeing the ocean in the distance and feeling the ocean breeze. Steve was responsive, helpful and friendly. We definitely recommend this spot."

"Really enjoyed the scenic rural country stay! This is a special part of the island. Short walk to Waipio valley lookout and short drive into historic Honakaa. The hosts were very welcoming and the fresh fruit from their garden was an exceptional treat. I loved the dogs, cats, and farmlife all around. A truly unique stay. "This property was delightful. Our hosts Jim and Kim were friendly and right next door if needed. The little house is neat, tidy and decorated with great bohemian thought and original artwork. The yard is manicured and beautiful. Our favorite part of this stay was the evening concert of animals winding down for the night. We loved sitting at the outdoor kitchen table listening to the world quiet down as we watched the ocean at sunset. We will definitely go back. "

"This rental made such good use of the one-acre lot - we enjoyed the mirthful pool and garden area, the garden, ocean and starlight views from an assortment of decks, lanais and gazebos. We felt like we hardly had to leave the property. But just a few minutes up the road were rocky beaches for whale-viewing, bamboo forests with waterfalls, and a cascading stream with refreshing swimming holes. Cannot wait to return to Honomu House."
