"Great location, convenient to the Shimanami bike rental and the ferry for starting our ride across Shimanami Kaido. Very accommodating about storing our luggage and arranging to send it to Imabari when we made a last minute change to our cycling plans because of the weather. Economy rooms were tiny but comfortable."

"Fabulous hotel. Think it had only just re-opened post a change of ownership and total refurbishment so was spotless. Rooms were very large for Japan with amazing views across the harbour to the sea. Lots of very helpful staff. Lovely rooftop bar (they gave us a voucher for a free drink when we checked in!) and breakfast was very tasty although traditional Japanese i.e. rice, miso, vegetables and rice. Walkable down to the town/harbour but it's a quite a big hill / lots of steps coming back! "

"My daughter and I traveled to Japan for two weeks and stayed here in the middle of a 70K Shimanami Bike trip. I wish so much we'd booked an additional night. Of the seven hotels/ryokans we stayed during our trip, this was heads above all the others. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious and the ryokan was quite peaceful. The staff was wonderful- helpful and attentive. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Japan and visit this area again, I'll return to this lovely property."
