"Quiet and very safe location. Excellent communication. I enjoyed my stay at The Smithy, a homely and very relaxing place to stay. The location is just a short walk to the village where there are some good options for breakfasts. I was given a bag of feijoas on leaving, a real treat, thanks to Alison. "Nice location short walk to the Estuary and quiet street.We could also take our wee dog.Lucky for us the house upstairs was empty so no banging through the ceiling but unfortunately our stay was not quiet….the house close behind was building and huge trucks were coming an going non stop and using the beach house land for all the vehicles (though plenty of room for our car) nobody’s fault the neighbours were lovelyJust doing major renovations before selling their property."

"The individual cabins are pretty much like the Lockwood style construction both inside and out. I guess you could say that they are a bit dated, but nice just the same. It’s quite a nice setting and very quiet. The cabin was equiped with the basics that you would require for a pleasant overnight stay. The water pressure on the shower was disappointing but apart from that it was ok. "
