"Lovely hotel with amazing staff. In the middle of Muscat so only 15 minutes either way to the airport or old Muscat and the souk. Small roof top pool, which always had beds available. The sun beds had seen better days and could do with replacing. Shame it wasn’t clear how to get towels for the pool. If you want a more luxurious day at a pool, it’s far cheaper to book a day pass at one of the 5* beach resorts rather than stay at one, as this Hilton gives 5* service. Breakfast had a good selection. Paid a few pounds more for half board option which was definitely worth it. The choice of lunch or dinner which was either from a set menu or buffet depending on the evening. All meals were top class and very traditional. I did not feel that I missed out on eating at local restaurants. All staff in the dining room are a credit to the hotel. Avoid paying for luxury taxis with O Taxi by coming outside of the hotel and standing by the restaurant just to the left of the hotel. This will change the price of a taxi from 20 Rials to 2.5 Rials to the airport. Always book a taxi with the app and ignore taxis that stop for you. They will say their meter or card machine is not working and over charge. "

"This is one of the BEST hotels I’ve ever experienced. The property itself is lovely, but the hospitality is what makes it exceptional. Khalid, the chauffeur, is very kind and warm, and sets a great tone for the hotel from the moment he picks you up at the airport. The concierge staff goes over the top to make your stay feel comfortable. The VIP/Gold status upgrade is very generous. All the restaurant staff, both at breakfast and dinner, make you feel at home. I’ve travelled the world and can honestly say they’re the best in the business! Thank you so much to everyone for making my trip to Oman so memorable from the start!"

"Very comfortable and well run hotel. I thought from the pictures that it looked dated but actually the rooms were very comfortable, with a light and airy restaurant area. The pool area is lovely and sheltered, the food is excellent and it's nice that you can eat out by the pool in the evening. The staff were friendly with good service. It's only 10 mins walk to the bus station. The gym and indoor pool are large and modern. The only downsides are that there isn't much in the nearby CBD area, dinner service could be slow and the pool buildings need some refurbishment."
