"The room was perfectly acceptable in this hostel and the hostel is right on one of the nicest beaches in the area. Luxury and bellmen offering drinks on the beach is not what this hostel is about. Ecological offerings in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner are. Where possible the food is bio as are the interesting array of wines produced by the vineyard, which owns this hostel. "Accueil sympathique mais c'est tout...en 4 nuit les serviettes de bain n'ont pas été changées et lits n'ont pas été fait...chambre et salle de bain minuscules pour 3, literie de très mauvaise qualité, très mal insonorisé, pas de fenêtres, clientèle très bruyante, pas de gel douche ni de shampoing et 1 seul rouleau de papier toilette en 4 jours...bref hormis l'accueil sympathique et la proximité du centre ville rien de bien. On est quand même presque 100€ la nuit a ce prix là nous attendions...

"Bonavista is at the edge of the tourist area, in a quiet part of Calella. 10 mins away from the beach, the same distance to the main street with the restaurants & shops. It is a very basic hotel, but very clean. Rooms were cleaned & bedding changed daily. When we arrived it was very late & the night porter opened the bar for us so we could have a beer, which was great. We asked for extra pillows & towels & received them within minutes.
