Wonderful holiday house on the Nollur farm at Eyafjord
5/5 Excellent
A slice of Paradise
"We stayed during the winter (Mid Feb) and the house was perfect. The views from the property are breathtaking and we had a magical experience watching the northern lights from the hot tub every evening. Waking up to the view from the master bed overlooking the fjord was spectacular. It feels remote and peaceful, but still close enough to Akureyri for supplies, restaurants and the ski hill. It was the perfect base for exploring the northern fjords and mountains, with good hikes, natural hot springs, lava fields, mud pools and fumaroles within an hours drive. The hosts were very accommodating and communicative at all times. The only consideration is the kitchen. It is very well equipped and adequate, but has limited storage and bench space so cooking for a larger group may be a little challenging. I would have no hesitation in booking again for another Iceland adventure"
