"Enjoyable stay with comfortable bed, plenty of towels available and close to Ferry landing.Major issue for us was the extremely rough track which wasn't a pleasant experience each time we went out and came back. We would consider it more than a "bumpy driveway". Smart TV did not work after day 2 unless it was operator error. Otherwise everything was available that enables us to have an enjoyable stay."

"We fell in love with Port Charles. This was a charming Bach in an unspoilt bay. A true place to get away from it all and get back to simple living. We heard kiwi in the surrounding bush at night. Thank you for a fantastic stay. "

"Lovely sunny airy home, with comfy sofas, in a beautiful peaceful area. A sunny front deck with exceptional views of the sea and bushland. Bring your own binoculars. Shady back deck overlooked farmland. Spacious bedroom, with a very firm mattress and soft bedding supplied. The modern kitchen and bathroom are both well equipped. We recommend you bring your own cooking oil, seasonings, tea & coffee; Soap & shampoo etc.Great shower pressure. We highly recommend this holiday home and location for your next trip away, and we look forward to returning too."

"Absolutely loved our stay. I've been all over the world and have never experienced this level of tranquility. The property has amazing views, is comfortably equipped, and makes you feel like you are at the ends of the earth. Yoga on the deck was amazing, Hilde was a perfect host, and we'll tell all our friends they must stay at X Spot on Great Barrier. A place unlike any other!"

"Great views across the water and very secluded. It wasn’t quite how the pictures show and needs a little work to get back to the standard of the original photos and some parts need a bit of a clean. I understand it is high in the trees so there will have been insects about and that’s all fine, but the windows hadn’t been cleaned on the outside for a while, the driveway needs some weeding/ferns nurtured so it is easier to park/get out. Also, some areas inside need cleaning (corners on the floor, shelves in the cabinet etc). Perhaps, the chairs replaced so they are similar to the ones in the picture. For the price charged I think there needs to be some changes to make it more beautiful and worth the money, compared to other places on the island. Some of the communication is conflicting and needs updating regarding check-in times, parking place. "
