Impossible to contact
Prior to booking, I confirmed whether covid would impact the refund policy for this property (stated as no refunds within 60 days of the day commencing) and was assured if we couldn't travel due to covid, we would be taken care of by either refund or transfer of dates. As it happened, my wife and I were both close contacts of a confirmed case, and government guidelines saw us needing to isolate and not travel.
I messaged the property the morning we found out, to let them know and ask what we could do in that situation. No response.
After our isolation period was over, I messaged again. No response.
I've messaged a third time, in an attempt to ensure we haven't kissed goodbye to $2000 for nothing, in spite of the assurances of the property.
With an ongoing absence of any communication, I've contacted my bank for a charge back of the credit card transactions.
Although we sadly didn't stay at the property in spite of having looked forward to it for months, the interaction with the property manager has been abysmal - look elsewhere for your stay, as you never know when you'll need their help, and there are some good ones out there.
