Enjoy exclusive access to the main house when renting the Casita, featuring a two-car garage and driveway parking. The Casita boasts its designated private entrance for your convenience. Revel in a 500 sq. ft. covered outdoor dining area, providing a secluded space for relaxation and entertainment. Indulge in an additional private dining patio next to the built-in BBQ, spanning 500 sq. ft. Ensure an intimate culinary experience with your own private grill. The large backyard grass area, set away from the patio, is the only shared space (see below for more info). Adhere to a three-car maximum for the entire property, with one car in the 2-car garage and two additional cars in the driveway.

Quiet Time Note: Quiet hours at Casa de Kona begin at 10 PM and extend until 10 AM. Guests must comply with South Oceanside's residential noise ordinance laws during these hours to respect our neighbors and ensure a peaceful atmosphere.

Maximum Occupancy: The Casita can accommodate up to 7 guests. Please note that we strictly adhere to this limit for the comfort and safety of all guests.

Security and Safety: To ensure the safety of all guests and the two homes on the property, security cameras are installed in the exterior common area, the outdoor shared space. These cameras actively monitor the property's perimeter at all times.

After Christmas getaway
This home was perfect in every way. Debby helped us get in a little early due to a rental car issue. When we arrived at the house we were thrilled! The rooms were so comfortable and the beds were dreamy! The backyard area was our favorite. Plenty of seating with two heat sources and a TV as well! We have stayed at MANY VRBO’s and I think this one was the best! Not just the home but the great hosts as well! Thank you so much!!!

Most Amazing Experience
This was the best place we've ever stayed at. Perfect for a family with kids. Awesome outdoor lounge setup with heat lamps, tons of seating and tons of games. Outdoor setup with yard games, BBQ. Stocked garage with everything you need for the beach. The entire house was stocked with toiletries, appliances, utensils, and all the other random stuff you forget when you go away. We loved it, and the hosts were the best - checking in on us and providing little touches here and there. Thank you Debby and Michael... we will definitely be back!

Perfect for Families
This was the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. The most well stocked, clean, family friendly home. The back porch was amazing and such a fun place to hang out after a fun day exploring San Diego. So many games and toys for the kids to play with. We would absolutely 100% stay in this home again and recommend to all of our friends and family.

Casa De Kona is an amazing property. The home was clean, decorated nicely and had everything we needed for our stay, including basic toiletries, kitchen stocked with all the essentials and more, the outdoor amenities from BBQ area, fire table and games galore. We hope to go back soon! Mike and Debby were great host and responded quickly with any questions. South Oceanside is a great SoCal beach town with amazing weather.

I had the pleasure of staying at Casa De Kona, and I can't say enough good things about it. This vacation rental is a true gem for families looking for a wonderful getaway. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Mike and Debby are exceptional hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm hospitality added an extra layer of charm to our visit. The rental itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. A wonderfully comfortable place to stay
This is our second year staying with Mike and Debby and they are by far the best hosts we’ve ever had. We have stayed at many properties in many areas but this is the most well kept, well stocked, clean, beautiful property. They have absolutely anything you could ever want or need. You are greeted with a handwritten thank you note (only property that has ever done this), a bakery treat and a snack bowl and bottled water. Their kitchen is well stocked with whatever you might need (basic spices beyond salt and pepper)! The beds are comfortable. The yard is INCREDIBLE. So many chairs to sit in and games for the kids to play. It is by the most comfortable and complete home. Their communication is above and beyond - so friendly and quick to respond. It really does feel like you’re staying at your family home. We look forward to many many more bookings with them in the future. They make a beautiful location even more special!

What a Blessing!
This was our first experience renting a vacation home and Casa de Kona - Casita was perfect in every way! We needed a quiet and comfortable getaway for my Mother, but also a home that was entertaining for our children and our adult nieces. The property is exactly as described, the location is excellent. The highlight of our stay was just simply relaxing on the patio, playing yard games, and enjoying meals in the outdoor covered space. Everything you could ask for was provided, the kitchen was organized and well stocked, variety of beach equipment, the comfy beds - and most importantly, the entire home was clean and inviting from the moment you walked in the door! The sweet memories we made there will last us a lifetime. We appreciate Mike and Debby; they are considerate and warm-hearted hosts who thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. We are looking forward to staying there again!

Violation of Privacy and Poor Customer Service
Within an hour of our arrival at Casa De Kona a wire on the deck railing came loose. We planned to let the owners know prior to our departure, however when we returned home from the beach the next day to find a handyman in the yard fixing the fence, it became clear that this was a pre-existing issue that the owners were already aware of. When the same wire broke again within the same afternoon it was clear that it had not been fixed properly, so we let it be for the remainder of our stay. After our departure, the owners attempted to blame this damage on our small children and sent us video clip after video clip of surveillance footage of our family in the backyard enjoying our vacation. What a huge violation of privacy! Not only did our children not engage with the fence in a way that should ever cause it to break, but we then received this text message from the owners, " "We appreciate you not booking with us again as we don't want children who aren't trained to not play with things that aren't toys." Beyond rude! This absolutely is not "family friendly" and I would not recommend to other families with young children to stay here as you will be judged and made to feel bad about your family and children while you are on vacation. Not one other bit of damage to the property was noted by the owners upon our departure-Nothing was lost, broken, or otherwise damaged during our stay, so to have been treated this way for what is clearly a pre-existing issue is beyond disappointing!

Casa de Kona Legoland getaway
Casa de Kona was the perfect place to stay for our Legoland getaway. There was plenty of space for our family of five and the place was stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. Our 3 young kids loved the amazing backyard with lots of fun kids activities, games and a large lawn to run around. The outdoor kitchen, large covered patio with fire pit and outdoor dining area make it perfect for entertaining larger groups as well. The bunkbeds were also a hit. It was hard to pull the kids away to go to the theme park. Mike and Debby were wonderful hosts, and very proactive in making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend Casa de Kona if visiting the surrounding area.

Just perfect!
One of the most convenient and well stocked properties that we have stayed at! We stayed with our 4 children under age 10, plus 2 grandparents. The outdoor area was wonderful and well stocked with games and outdoor activities. My kids really enjoyed the shared grass area also. Inside, the kitchen was stocked with lots of essentials- even little Mayo packets and keureg cups. Lots of beach items in the garage too. The hosts were excellent at communicating and accommodating when we needed an early check in. The location was great- very central to SD and OC. We will stay again!

Great place to stay!
Casa de Kona’s Casita was great for a family with young children. The outdoor living room was amazing for the parents to relax while the kids play in the yard. The house had everything we needed! Kitchen supplies, Beach toys and chairs/umbrellas etc. The Circuit service that provides rides around Oceanside was phenomenal. If we are ever back in Oceanside this house would be a must stay again.

This house have everything you could possibly need for a great vacation and then some. It is best for families- there are so many great outdoor activities for kids in a quiet neighborhood. The owners were great at communicating and we will stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

We stayed at the Casa de Kona at the end of June and it was a great experience! The host was very nice and the house was awesome and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The outdoor spaces were great for families there are tons of games for kids! There were hang out spots for adults and kids as well. We will definitely be looking for again in the future!

Fabulous weekend!!
Visited Oceanside for a family wedding. Casa de Kona - Casita was perfect for 5 adults. The house is everything plus more as in pictures and description. The kitchen is well stocked with everything that you need for cooking and BBQ. Beds were very comfortable. The covered patio/deck with TV was a hit with us sport lovers. Mike and Debby were terrific hosts, great communication the whole time.. Will definitely be renting again when in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer :)

Terrific house in a great location!!
This well-kept house has wonderful space throughout and the beds are very comfortable. The location in Fire Mountain area gives you quick access to the beach/pier, shopping, restaurants, whatever. The kitchen is loaded with more handy appliances and cooking items than we have in our own home! My favorite is the outdoor living space - a covered patio/deck with a fire table, large TV, heater if needed, lots of dining space and an outdoor grill with sink. I sat outside there many mornings and evenings enjoying the nicely-landscaped backyard. We stayed a week but wish we could have stayed a month! You'll enjoy this super clean and comfy spot for sure!

This was our first vacation as a newly blended family and I must say the house definitely met and surpassed all of our expectations! The weather wasn't what we had expected so there wasn't much beach time. The house definitely made up for that as our children (17,14,14,13,12,6) all stayed well entertained. Debby and Mike were AMAZING hosts and we will definitely be staying here again!!
