The outdoor balcony/deck facing the mountain...esp with the great weather makes in a gem. Plenty of hiking right around the village too. Will rent the larger one next time, if available"

"Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!"

"Fantastic place to stay! We really felt at home in this chalet and could not have been more impressed with the amenities and the views. We took full advantage of the fireplace, the hot tub, the slide and the outdoor reclining chair. We even spent a rainy day cooking traditional Swiss recipes and playing board games. "Wir hatten einen perfekten Aufenthalt in diesem Chalet! Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet, hat zwei Kamine und einen großen Garten. Es gibt große Wohnzimmer, die Schlafzimmer sind eher klein aber sehr gemütlich. In den Küchen sind alle nötigen Geräte, Geschirr etc. vorhanden. Der Vermieter ist äußerst sympathisch. Ich würde das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen und kann das auch jedem nur Empfehlen!"

"The chalet was well kitted out with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It was warm and had the addition of an open fire. It took us 10 minutes to drive to the slopes each day, which was perfect and meant we were skiing before 9am, with a short drive home after. The chalet is quirky with lots of different sleeping areas, the kids loved it."

"This Chalet is fantastic and Massimo was really helpful. Very cosy, clean and beautifully presented. Photos don’t do it justice. We slept well every night and had everything we needed for one Dad and 4 young adults. Parking was convenient and we were within easy driving reach of the slopes. "Wir haben einen sehr schönen Urlaub in diesem hübschen Haus verbracht. Es ist zwar klein, aber man fühlt sich gleich von Anfang an wohl. Es ist perfekt eingerichtet und alles vorhanden was man braucht! Das Haus ist etwas höher gelegen, dennoch ist man mit dem Auto relativ schnell im Tal um auch mal an andere Orte zu fahren. Wir haben oft selber gekocht und gerne frisches Gemüse und Obst im in Fenis gelegenen "Potager"eingekauft. "
